Witch one
I use Silver-Dragon but the reason is simple I did not know there was any thing else,
Both links can be found below If you do not have one of them I do recommend getting one they help when looking for rare pets and mobs

I'm sure I read you have to do that with SDTeigan wrote:I like SD because I dont have to clear the cache. I know it's supposed to be ok, but it makes me nervous and I always forgot to do it anyway.

Silverdragon is "just" an automated targetting macro, no real configuration needed.

Re: Witch one
My boyfriend actually made me a batch file which deletes the folder for me automatically when I double click it. I have that right below my WoW icon so I always remember to hit it before I log in. It works sort of similar to a macro actually. You type out the raw commands in Notepad, then rename it to have .bat at the end. This transforms it from a text file into a tiny batch program that carries out the command you told it (like deleting the file you specify). I can type out a more detailed explanation here if anyone wants it. It's completely safe and simple, I'd just have to double check with my boyfriend since he knows what he's doing with that more than I do. ^_^
Alternately you could make a shortcut to the Cache folder onto your desktop so you remember.

Re: Witch one
The actual file would be dependant on where you installed your WoW, however.

Really? That batch thing sounds interesting. If I don't have to go digging through the files every time, I might actually gice NPCscan a try. XDVephriel wrote:Clearing the cache isn't too difficult once you get used to it.

Re: Witch one
Now, this particular one only deletes the Creature Cache file (that's the only one I was interested in as I was only going after rare pets). I'm also assuming you have Windows XP from your WoW folder pathway. The following won't work on Windows 7 since creating batch files is a bit more complicated. Luckily for you it'll be really easy though. ^^
Note: This is the generic pathway of the folder for Windows XP computers. Some people might have different paths, so double check.
- 1) Create a new Notepad file/Text Document on your Desktop. Name it whatever you want to (eg. Delete Cache)
2) Open the text document and copy the following lines in: (note that these are two lines, don't have them as one line)
CD C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Cache\WDB\enUS
del CREATURECACHE.WDB
3) Save the text document. You should now have a text file called Delete Cache.
4) Edit the name of the document and add .bat at the end (eg. Delete Cache.bat). The file will transform from a text document into a batch program.
5) Double click on this and it will carry out the deletion of your Creature Cache file.
Then you can just keep that on your Desktop or somewhere convenient and double click at your leisure.
