Total suckage. Been camping Skarr for days. Finally I see him pop. Hit corehound buff, dismiss, deterrence, tame... Skarr pwns my ass. Some crappy alli hunter comes by Silencing to tame and runs away with a new pet. I'm begrugingly speccing marks today... sucks to have to respec for a pet.

Nah, don't go marks I got my skarr today with 0 problems, and I forgot ALL of my buffs. I did however have the haste buff you get from that one gust of wind I'm BM spec, so definitely didn't have any silences.

Trust me go MM its an ez respeck not all that expensive and with duel specing not inconvenient at all. It saves you the hassles of seeing him spawn running over to get the buff then tame him, cause realistically in that time it takes to go get the buff then come back in taming range he could already be tamed the way he is farmed today going MM just makes things 100% ezier

Respec. throw talents where ever, just make sure you get the shot, and respec as soon as you hearth back.

Respecced... it was hard. I have been playing this Hunter since launch and hes always been Marks until one day I just got sick of it went BM and never looked back. But alas I have overcome my bias against Marks and my secondary spec is marks now. I am happy to report that I will not have to completely reconfigure my icons as I would have had to before. I'm not staying Marks, and after I have captured my quarry I will go back to survival as secondary.
