Unable to Validate Game Version? -_-

My WoW decided to redownload the latest patch and now I'm getting that error message, so I can't log in. I'm in the midst of going through all the suggestions Blizzard has for dealing with this (hopefully I won't have to reinstall -_-), but was wondering if anyone else has been put in this position today or since the patch.

I heard about this on WoW.com. Apparently if you uncheck the "remember login" box or enter random characters for the login name it can fix it.

I logged in briefly this morning and had that pop up, and all I did was close the game and restart and then I got in fine the second attempt.

Happened yesterday to me.. was stuck on the character choice part of the log in... That blue bar hung fully loaded for 15 min.. finally decided to exit game and re-login and worked fine after that..

I hate when this happens. I usually restart everything whilst thinking crushingly mean thoughts about what happens to computers when they don't play wow for me...

then it all works fine for me... like clockwork...

It was the WoW repair tool that did it. -_-

Don't let that thing run rampant, I tells ya. It rendered a Minorly Buggy game into a Completely Unplayable game.

my game redownloaded the patch as well, but i haven't had any dramas with anything,

On the plus side, I may be making a few changes to my UI since I've had to rework it anyway. ^_^
