I took that timer and started camping. If I saw another hunter there waiting I always moved along giving them the last timer I had and asked that they give me the timer if they got him. Wednesday night I had put in a 9 hour camp with my girlfriend keeping me company until 6am when another hunter who I had seen camping frequently showed up. I was falling asleep so I gave him the last timer I had and how long I had been there and crashed for a few hours. When I logged back in the he told me that he had finally spawned about 4 hours after I had gone to sleep.
I went back to start my camp again but there was another hunter there, who I had also seen frequently, so I told her I wouldn't interfere but would help if he spawned as I had nothing to do until my raid started. Unfortunately he didn't show up until I was in my raid and she lost the tame to someone else that showed up and nabbed the tame from her. I felt horrible as she had been there all day only to lose the tame in the end. She told me she would start the camp again the next morning so I made a point to log in and help her by getting on my druid to throw some roots her way. After waiting all morning with her I had to run some errands so we added each other and when I got home I was excited to see that her message had been updated to say she got her pet.
I started my camp again at the 6 hour mark since her tame, and she came out to keep watch with me. Some hunters came and went from both factions but they were all polite and moved on and wished me luck. After several hours around the 13 hour mark since her tame she had to get some sleep so my girlfriend logged over to her druid to help me out for the rest of the wait. The other hunter logged back in a couple more times and around the 15 hour mark since his last spawn she decided to stay with us as she just couldn't sleep with me still out there waiting. About this time a dwarf hunter showed up and parked himself right on the spawn point, I started to panic and hitting tab and my arcane shot over and over. My new hunter friend told him that I had been there camping for a very long time and asked if he would please not steal it. Just as she said that Deth spawned and my frantic tab/shot spamming paid off. The dwarf didn't interfere and after several heart pounding moments of our traps, kiting, pet deaths and roots Deth shrunk down by my side. I still can't believe that he is finally mine and that I was so lucky not to lose him after that long wait. I could not have done it without their help and I am so happy that I not only gained my dream pet but a new friend as well.
