Deth'tilac Names...

I find that naming, despite being able to Rename pets now, is the single most difficult thing about acquiring a new companion.

Also, I'm on an RP realm, so I like to name pets accordingly - my hunter is a female troll. I've been mulling over trollish-sounding names for my newest companion since I tamed it a couple days ago. I've come up with a couple so far, but none really seem to 'feel' right... even the one I've picked as the 'favorite.'

I'm undecided on the gender... Leaning towards male, but a really catchy female name could make me sway that direction as well. The name doesn't have to be lore-based (in reference to Loas/etc). In fact, I'd prefer that it was original and not tied to anything else.

I understand that naming is a personal thing and that I should really settle on one that I made up on my own, but I'd just like to hear some suggestions from people here.

I may or may not use Deth as an RP pet (likely not... molten spiders around wood/etc in cities is probably not the best idea), but I'd still love for it to have a name that does justice for such a cool-looking spider.

I named mine Cyric, after an evil god of murder in Forgotten Realms D&D setting. His colors happen to be black and purple, just like Deth, so it fit him well. I named Kirix Loki, because...green and black...and I'd seen Thor a couple weeks ago and...Loki was hot, and also fast and lethal, just like Kirix. If you're wanting Deth to be an RP pet, just keep is original name, Deth'tilac is appropriate after all. Thats his name in the game, so you could just say your troll didn't bother renaming the spider and left him as Deth'tilac, the Smouldering Darkness as a tribute to his lethal killing abilities or something. I don't know your troll's personality, but that's what my orc would do if she were an RP character. She's not, so I just name pets after my favorite characters out of movies/books/whatever.

With most pets I like to keep their original names, i.e Kirix is Kirix, Arcturis is Arcturis, but it just happens that my three favorite pets all have apostrophes in their names (Loque'nahak, Ban'thalos, and Deth'tilac) so when I first tamed loque'nahak I thought of the name Loquesque. I don't know how I thought of it but it looked cool in text and retained some of Loques name still in it so I stuck with it. From then on I named all my apostrophe pets in the same way. So Ban'thalos is now Banesque and my shiny new Deth'tilac is Dethesque.

I actually named mine Jitters to show how I felt while/after the taming process. XD My Kirix is Sulphur.

This probably is really lame, but I thought of "Vudu" (voodoo). He/she would definitely be a "Voodoo" to stay away from, if that person is your enemy. "Stay away from da Vudu!"
