Augh, I hate when that happens. Especially with rares that you don't see that often and are more in likely to trip over than camp.

I'm on Dethecus. My husband has seen Skoll numerous times while looking for the Time Lost Proto Drake! There's been no one lurking around to tame him. It really depends on your realm, honestly! I've helped a friend or two get that one after Cata and here on Elune he is pretty darn sparse now. Took me and a friend a WEEK to find him. There are just so many hunters here now and a few mount hunters. It's one of those cases "OH NPCSCAN WENT OFF, LET'S KILL IT" kinda deals here. Besides Ankha, Arcturis was the hardest for me. 3 weeks of not even seeing anything but his dead body and a NElf camping his spawn point. We both tried to tame him and the NElf (alliance being all 12 year olds on my server) killed him instead of letting me tame him. He didn't realize "one less person here, means less competition" and just thought HORDE IT MUST DIE! Sigh.
