Lack of a Stable Master Rage

Unread post by Acherontia »

Why on earth is there no stable master in the Worgen starting "experience?" I assume it's the same with the Lost Isles--if you want one of the pets you can only get here, you have to abandon your starter pet? The pets in question are unique (mastiffs that change between all four colors) and are phased out permanently after this.

No other races are restricted this way : / Even if I wanted to grind here (from about level 12 to level 18) until I can train Call Pet, I don't think there's any mobs that are level 12... and even if there are, that's hundreds--not to mention the fact that the *only* hunter trainer is phased out way early.

I was actually tempted to abandon my starter, tame the pet I want and then ticket to get the starter pet back, just due to the poor design of this, but I am not even sure he'd be "saved" already :(

So yeah, two suggestions:

1. Add stable masters to Lost Isles or Gilneas, or tell me why there aren't any?
2. Make the Wary Mastiffs completely unphased, and thus tameable by anyone visiting the area, rather than being restricted to Worgen who are either insane or willing to abandon their starter pets.

(Note: the source of this rage is after I began grinding mobs to tame this pet, and then hearthstoned back to Stormglen only to find that my trainer is now gone; so the option's not even there for me, and the run back to Keel Harbor takes foreeeeeeeever.)

Yep. It's definitely the same with Lost Isles. When I made that challenge hunter, I was forced to abandon my first Lilpinchy because of dinging level 10 and having to pick up my first 'new pet' without a stable master anywhere. :(

I'm definitely with you on the 'wanting stablemasters' there.

Plus, the 'grind to level 12' wouldn't help, since the only hunter trainer IIRC is limited in what they can teach. I cuold be wrong on that part, but it seems to me they only have a couple skills rather than the whole gamut.
Come see Kurasu's stables!

It would have to be to level EIGHTEEN, I think (for Call pet 2), the issue being that mobs in that zone extend to about level 11, and I think you'd need at least level 12 mobs to give you xp. Or level 11 to extend to 18 at least.

The issue then becomes: they'd be green, giving very little xp, for several levels : /

The hunter trainer (I did check this) for Gilneas, though, can teach straight up to level 85 skills. This may be new, as I think all trainers used to be limited by level to their zones, but now are not.

I actually made a small worgen over on Nestinwary recently to chill with some petopians over there, [Lol, they weren't kidding that horde side was more active] and I could NOT find a stable master for the life of me. I wanted one of the white foxes before I left and auuuuuugh, by the time I HAD reached level 10 to learn to tame beasts....I was way too far away for them and just tamed a orange, but I was just so happy to get away from the starter zone when I did that I just didn't care at that point.

I also have a HYOGE gripe that you pretty much have to level specificly a Worgen or a Goblin for those color changing pets. That's just irk-some.

The white foxes are only in the "ruins" of gilneas. There are not in the worgen starting zone at all, and only appear in the area that everyone can go to. I'd ran all the way back to where the white foxes where located, to discover that they weren't there, when my worgen was lv 10.

But I do agree that a stable master is needed in both starting zones!!
