Forget Hydras, I WANT BASILISKS
I feel like Hydra's have needed to be tameable for awhile, even more than Hydra's. Hydra's with thier big size and three brains i can see why taming them would be hard but Basilisk would be easy to make tameable lore wise. They should be exotic too cause they already have too abilities
Basilisk's Stare-Stuns the target for 4seconds causeing nature damage over time
Basilisk's Resistance- Basilisk's Have a 20% resistance to all schools of magic plus give a (5 or 10)% to all party and raid members
I think they would be awesome, i dont want them lumped in with crocolisks, they are an awesome creature all ready full of lore, that already has a bunch of awesome skins you could make tameable.
So please great wow overlords, make them their own family and make them tameable :3

Re: Forget Hydras, I WANT BASILISKS
me want hydras! forget reskinned crocs. seriously
and no the stun wouldnt do damage that would be unfair for similar pets like shale spiders, the stun would not do damage, it would be 3 or 4 seconds, and i think if anything theyd be non exotic with a 3 second stun with a 10yard range. tenacity.

Why not make them Exotic. I feel like their resistance is more important than their stun anyways. They dont all turn people into stone, but they all resist magic (you know all about it if you have ever played a mage!) And about the stun being too powerful thing i guess i am still locked in the past where Exotic Pets had alot more differences from normal pets.

Hee, I do admit I've always loved the purple Outland basilisks. They're just so cute!

Forget basilisks, I want a mini veph pet. It would change outfits depending on what pet I had out. IT WOULD BE SO CUTE!

I keep flying over basilisks and thinking, "ooo, that one's pretty--I'll be able to tame it in a few levels!"
Re: Forget Hydras, I WANT BASILISKS
I think I must be the only one who prefers Azerothian over Outland basilisks. I always preferred the complex colours of them to the monochrome style of the Outland ones, and I've been hoping they'd be made tameable for a long time. Especially some of the unused colour combos like:

I like both. I especially like the 'whiskers' on old world basilisks and crocolisks.

Re: Forget Hydras, I WANT BASILISKS
the magic resistance would be a completely unique buff, the reason they wouldnt alow this is shamans have the totem (and we could now cover the buff which would be good but) it would make aspect of the wild even MORE useless. maybe just make it non exotic with magic resistance. we dont need another exotic for other hunters to complain about. and you cant be locked in the past, clearly blizzard doesnt want thatTodius wrote:Why not make them Exotic. Re: Forget Hydras, I WANT BASILISKS
I've always wanted to like the old world basilisk models, but something in their faces never clicked with me. I prefer the crocolisks a lot more. They're still awesome creatures and I do hope they become tamable some day, but if I do pick one up it'll definitely be the Outland purple.

Re: Forget Hydras, I WANT BASILISKS
Oh. My. God. That green and purple one is absolutely GORGEOUS! O___O I've been wanting a pet basilisk ever since Vanilla, and if Blizz ever delivers and they put these unused ones in game, I'm going to be all over that green beauty... even though it will mean making another stable sacrifice. Re: Forget Hydras, I WANT BASILISKS
I used a model edit program for the outland basilisk, and I can safely say that they do look AMAZING as pets.
Only problem is that they look so bad with their low poly count. Pixelated....very fragmented...such low resolution...

Re: Forget Hydras, I WANT BASILISKS
Just to reassure you, you're not the only one. Then again, I prefer the Azeroth models of pretty much *everything* over the Outland ones. Wind Serpents, Raptors (OMG the spiky ones are hideous; sorry spiky-lovers!), Hydras, Basilisks, Chimeras.... although the Outland chimera look has been growing on me to the point I like both.Wain wrote:I think I must be the only one who prefers Azerothian over Outland basilisks.
