Is the oil staned worg still tamable?

I have been trying to tame for the past hour and he wont keep the oil coat.

Yes it is still tameable. The easiest way to do it is if you are alliance or have an alliance friend, have them be on the quest "Lupus Pupus." When they use the item, the wolf becomes neutral and if you time your tame spell to end right as the wolf despawns, it should keep its oily appearance (this is how I got mine). Alternately, you could have someone kill the wolf right as your tame ends then you immediately cast rez pet to make it despawn. Either method takes patience but should still work as of this time
