I was healing on my Shaman in an SFK Heroic run earlier today. The run itself was kinda meh, but the first boss... damn. We were fighting the Baron Ashbury and killing him down. His Dark Archangel procs and we all start to slowly die. One by one, our 3 DPS and our tank are deadinated as the boss drops down to like 2% health. I'm the only one left. I prepare for a wipe... only to find out that I'm actually not dying that fast. I'm out of mana, so what to do?

...Start meleeing the boss, of course! I start to pathetically swing my caster mace at the boss. With the help of my Fire Elemental and a few well-placed heals, I bonk the boss into oblivion! I was beyond bewildered at that point. There are some times when a lone tank can survive the boss' onslaught or a crafty DPSer can burn down the boss before they themselves get burned, but... never a healer.

Now that my story's out of the way, how about yours? Have you ever had any boss battles that were won by... unconventional means?

Well, my first time I did ZA to the end, all but me died during the last boss, and there was only one chain left.
And it was almost dead too. All the ghosts were attacking me, and my pet and I were taking down the chain real well, when my health started to fall real bad, so I thought, maybe a Feign Death will help me blast off the last bit.
So I feign death.
And my pet does the finishing blow
Aaaand... what? What happened?
The boss reset. After it died.

Okay, so my friend and I used to go into pre-tbc raids like ZG and all that for the hell of it. Well, even further back we were bored and decided to do a private realm one night, just because we were curious of what private realms were like. Anyways, we decided to do Black Temple, which is obviously not a solo-able place, but we did it with just the two of us anyways. We joked about all the prostitutes on our way to Illidan, because the temple is LOADED with them. We get to Illidan within a half hour, and prepare ourselves for the last boss. Well, we took no damage from him at all, but he took even less damage from us. So we literally just screwed off and went AFK while our toons fought. This battle took a lot longer than we expected. We actually opened youtube a few times. Long story short, the battle, timed, took over 3 hours.
