Defying Deth
Title says it all. I defied Deth. I tamed my purple fire rock spider! And boy am I happy. The tame was quite slow at first. But then a boomkin came and helped. And then a couple Alliance showed up, some of them melee and I got a laugh out of it when he turned and one shot 'em. After a long time I finally saw the buff drop and I just happened to have aggro. I started the tame. It stopped and Deth began to go after someone else. I tried forever to get aggro back and finally I did. She was at 2 mil health by this point. The Horde boomkin stopped. But the Alliance boomkin did not. I was going to cry... but with little health left, I got her! And then we smoked the Alliance boomkin who, even after she was tamed, kept trying to kill her. Lesson learned I hope. You don't stand a chance between a hunteress and her tame.

Alliance, the majority (not all! never said ALL!) have a mentality of "if i can't have it, you can't!" and act like 12 year olds throwing a tantrum. Grats on getting Deth despite the alliance trying to prevent that from happening.
I have alliance toons, so I am not bashing them all, just the majority who happens to act like you just described. Kill it even though you know you've lost. Kinda a temper tantrum thing that kids do.

Part of Dark Magics, lvl 25 Horde guild, casual, helpful, don't raid, mostly help people and hunt pets.
Part of Dynasty, lvl 25 Alliance guild, casual and hardcore (your choice, no one forces you to raid, but you can), very helpful
Come on over if interested (Runetotem US, Horde name Sarantha, Ally name Ellysetta or Valeraud)

Re: Defying Deth
I don't know about Alliance hunters being like that. I see horde hunters gank tames too. I think it all depends on the player.
As a alliance hunter I've helped horde tame Deth and Anthriss. My night elf buddy got ganked while taming Skarr. I got attacked by a horde while taming Deth. It all depends. I do believe we should be immune to any type of attack from players while taming. It will help from experiencing loss.
