Hunter Help Talents/Gear
My hunter is my alt. And while when it comes to restro or balance druid I could write a book...for hunters I just throw on agility and hope for the best. My hunter has always been my I don't care about gear or achievements or holidays char. But I've recently unlocked heroic Halls Of Reflection. As someone who mainly heals and doesn't raid this is a place I take fairly seriously so I thought I'd ask those most knowledgeable for advice. Is there anything I'm blatantly doing wrong I should change before trying it with my hunter? He doesn't have a lot of gold and for April fools I think is being portrayed as a walrus
lol, but there are probably some things I could change. Thanks

Re: Hunter Help Talents/Gear
So far as your gear goes, the first thing I can see is that you're way over the hit cap. Get rid of those hit gems you're using and use agi/crit orange gems in your yellow sockets. If you absolutely must have a +4 to all stats gem, don't use it in a belt buckle...use it in a blue slot to make sure you get the socket bonus without actually having to use a blue gem. Instead, put a straight AGI gem in your belt buckle. I would also advise getting rid of whichever +24 stam gem doesn't wind up replaced by the all stats gem. If you absolutely must have that socket bonus that requires a blue gem, use a green crit/stam gem instead. If you can live without it, put an AGI gem in the socket and ignore the bonus. And really, if I were gemming, I'd just put an AGI gem in the boots...12 AP isn't much of a socket bonus.
I'd also get an attack power enchant of some kind put on your staff. If you plan on replacing it quickly, then the full-blown Massacre enchant might be a bit too expensive, but the next step down should suffice just fine. Yes, I know you're gemming and enchanting AGI in just about every other place...but for 2-handed weapons, the attack power enchants often end up giving more bang for your buck. You could probably also stand to get rid of the Mark of Supremacy trinket...but I'd still hang on to it, just in case you drop below hit cap in the future. In its place, see if you can't find a DMC: Greatness.
So far as your BM spec goes: First off, you do not need Pathfinding or Thick Hide if you're going for a DPS spec, so take those points out. Put 3 of those points into Ferocity and max it out. Then put the remaining points into Frenzy...you may also want to pull a point from Spirit Bond to have 3 points in Frenzy, and that's all you'll really need in that talent. For a damage spec, you can also stand to take the points out of Catlike Reflexes and put them Cobra Strikes. Invigoration is a matter of personal need and your gear quality...as you gear up, you can take those points out and put them elsewhere.
Take the points out of Improved Concussive Shot, Imp Hunter's Mark, and one point from Go For the Throat. Put one more point in Mortal Shots, and put the remainder into Improved Tracking in the Survival Tree.
So far as glyphs for this spec go...your best bets will probably be the glyph of Steady Shot, the Glyph of the Hawk, and the Glyph of Kill Shot. Once again, this is if you're looking for pure damage output as a beast master.
I hope you find this useful, at least as far as your BM spec goes. I will cheerfully defer any guidance on your Survival spec to a different hunter with more experience with that spec. Good luck with heroic HoR!
