guess what? sprit beats are NOT hot shit. honestly i spent alot of time on spirit beats and for what? i have a pink raptor i love sooo much more then a spirit beast. so whats the point there not fun. It used to be if you love your pet no matter how bad it was keep it. now its if you have a spirit beast your the best of the best but there not that special. I first got arcturis the easiest spirit beast and i spent a total of 25 hours camping him and i was soo happy when i got him till i realeased him...i hated the bear and wanted a cat one. so i would hop on and do my circle in the air and stumpbled upon gondria and that was the one i always wanted but i haded his mist that came out of him. so i kept him in stable to use every once in a while when i switched to BM now when i go BM i dont even bother i just keep my raptor out. so just remember spirit beats arn't all that special :headbang:

just think about skorn, and surge. Love them, miss then, not spirit beats

peace love and vampires :B

It's not about owning the Spirit Beast making you the best of the best. I don't think anyone here has even hinted at that. People want Spirit Beasts for different reasons. Some like the thrill of the hunt (or camp as it may be) others, like myself, like how they look...or even sound or act. Spirit Beasts are not "top" of the DPS chart.

Everyone has different tastes in pets. Some people like carrion birds. I personally have found that I can't stand them. I'm sorry you feel you wasted your time camping a SB..but at least now you know they aren't for you. But just because they aren't the best for your play style doesn't mean they aren't the best choice for someone else. Only way to know for sure is to tame one and try it out.

Owning a SB doesn't mean you are the "Best of the Best" if just means that something about them has drawn the player to them. "Best of the Best" is just a personal opinion...just like you *Have* to take a wolf into dungeons/raids. Doesn't mean it's law, just means it's someone's opinion.

Agreed. No one ever said that SB's were top of the top or made a hunter 1337.(Except maybe blizz when SB's first were around) I personally Like them for their ability... Moonfire FTW. So If there were ever a non-rare SB that looked decent *prays to P-Dawg*, I'd hop on that faster than a cat on yarn.

I saw a funny quote once, and it went something like this: "Opinions are like buttholes. Everyone has them, they all stink, and you don't want to see anyone else's". /giggle

But seriously, as others have mentioned, I don't think any of us here get a spirit beast because we're trying to get into some 1337 club. Seriously, if I was worried about that, I'd roll MM and get a wolf.

Out of all the spirit beasts, Gondria is the only one I really like. I've had three of four, have not had Skoll yet. If they were so awesome, I'd keep them all and show them all off. But I only kept the one I like.

Why do I personally like spirit beasts? Well, to be honest, I don't know. I just do. For the same reason that I like carrion birds and boars and wind serpents. There's just something about them that I like.

This forum is all about hunters and their love for pets. I have never seen the attitude on here that you claim is the reason we tame our spirit beasts. Like any other pet that we choose to tame, we just love 'em for what they are.

Sorry if this came across as harsh, I have an annoying headache right now and to be honest your attitude right off the bat irked me. So I just wanted you to know how I felt, too.

:)

I don't think you can really tell anyone what to think of their own pets.

I never saw the appeal of Spirit Beasts until I stumbled into one - and now I love them! I don't care if they're the lowest or the highest DPS, I don't care if everyone or no one has them....I just fell in love with each of them individually. They haven't become my favourite pets in the slightest, Skorn will always be my buddy, but I truly love both the thrill of hunting them and just each of their unique appearances and personalities.

If they're not your thing then that's wonderful - but there's no need to quarrel in a pet lover's forum over what people should and should not like. :) It's all personal preference.

Spirit beasts are not "the best of the best." Blizzard won't allow it. Blues have said spirit beasts will not be top dps pets because of their rarity. Could you imagine if BM spec with a spirit beast was top dps? Every hunter would be camping for them and whining on the forums that they can't find them!

Spirit beasts are trophies for hunters. They are all rare. It's like any other player having a rare mount and showing it off at the Dalaran well. Spirit beasts are in game just for the thrill of the hunt and to have a cool looking, unique model beast.

The best quote I saw on spirit beasts (although some hunters might find it rude) is, "Spirit beasts are BiS for afking in Dal."

It really depends on your opinion. To some people, spirit beasts ARE the best of the best, and it has nothing to do with damage. Everything to do with style. I picked up Gondria about six months ago, and finally got Loque about two months ago, after nearly year a year of searching, and I love the style. I dropped Gondria because, frankly, I don't need more then one spirit beast, but I still love the style.

Then again, I have been using wolves/worgs since well before they were popular. That is just my style. I actually have to say that it annoys me to no end to see so many obvious throw away wolves that have just been tamed for the DPS boost, who are just called 'wolf'.

Each to their own, but I think it's a bit callous of you to tell us what we're supposed to think of our pets. Clearly you share the same love for your Raptor as I do for my Loque'nahak, but you don't have to be downright nasty about it, dearheart.

I personally don't think Beats are hot shit either, except in Music. If it's done right of course ;D

Lol, the whole beats thing actually made me think it was a joke thread, until I read all of it... Then I thought it was either a rowdy opinion gone public, or a troll...

I have multiple spirit beats on all my hunters but one, and I do take them into dailies and raids once in a while, just to keep them "dusted off". I also tend to use my pet hydra and slime in the same manner. TBH, I use my wasp the most... for raids, dailes, dungeons...and relaxing around dalaran. Why? because he is the one I like most and the one who is the closest my personality... mess with me and you will get stung. I would never say my wasp is the best pet for anybody buy myself. Even the min/maxers who have to have a wolf, those people have the wolf because they want to push themselves to do great dps.... that's the way they play the game. So, i have nothing bad to say about them. I do have something bad to say about people who put down other people's pets just because said person doesn't liek them. you can use your raptor. That is fine. i wil stick with my "misfit" pets cause that is how I roll. and if you don;t liek tough. Stop playing wow and stop coming tot he forums LOl *this is being as nice as I possibly can be lol*

Okay, I might be new here and all... but seriously, did you have to be so rude in your wording? Normally it's hard for me to find offense in anything, really... but this time, I actually did. None of us here say spirit beasts are the best of the best. In fact, many honestly just don't like them. At the same time, some swear by them, because they love the thrill of the hunt, the mystery of them, the look of them, or the attention gained by having one. Myself, I could care less. I love how Skoll looks, I'm not too impressed by Loque or Gondria, and Arcturis I just plain don't like, because I've never been a fan of the bear models, period. However, I don't go running around dissing any of them just because they are spirit beasts, and neither should you. To each his own; love them, hate them, they're there and that is that.

No one ever said you had to go by what everyone else says and does on the game. It's a bloody game, for crying out loud. Do your own thing. Don't complain because you jumped on the bandwagon and didn't like what you got.

To you. Just to simply say what everyone else is, opinion is not fact. It's your opinion. And while I respect it, the way that you've worded this is just..cruel. If I didn't know any better I'd think that you believe that whoever has a spirit beast is just an idiot.
so whats the point there not fun.
I have quite a bit of fun with my Loque and Skoll, I'm thinking about getting Gondria but I have too many pets and I don't feel like getting rid of any more than I have so far.

It's all about the player really. If I had enough room I'd get every spirit beast, but I just don't have the stable slots (Fix it, for the love of Arthas Blizz, FIX IT!)

My advice, even though I'm really new here, is to be careful that the wording of your posts doesn't come across as insulting (and if mine did I really do apologize.)

Yeah man your post has definitely set a fire...

As per your previous posts:
"i can sadly say i dont have a pet i truly love, i love pets BM but i dont have my forever companian"

"i just tamed gondria yesterday and i like her...but arcturis :\ well he looks cool hes just not for...anyone really lol"

"to be honest i feel left out here...i want to do this but sadly i cant...there is no pet of mine i can connect with i never actually found my true pet, i hope cataclysm or someone with experence can help me out with my pet"

"so ive been camping arcturis for 3 days now and i still cant find him, i have had multible times were i wanted to hearth and go do something else but i stayed. SO my question to you spirit beast fans, are spirit beats worth the long wait?"

"humar cuase black rocks...im emo dont judge me >.>"
I see you obviously have had trouble finding & connecting to "The" pet for yourself, this or that spirit beast, or have finally gotten it, & wasn't as "ooh la la" as you thought it would be for whatever reason, so you feel the need to spread the word.

Well I'm sure a majority of us know they're no the min/max pet but I'm sure we all have one, several, or all that we like for whatever reason; it's not always about the dps, it's about the pet you like, & you haven't found yours yet... hopefully you will.
