SO I wasn't planning on taming him... but I did. And I only had to camp, like, a day and half an hour.
His bright, green glow is a little eye-raking, but I think he'll grow on me sooner or later.
Hopefully.
I think I can work something out. My other five Spirit Beasts, however, may tear the poor owl a new one.
