I just experienced the most amazing thing. Is it a drug?!

Unread post by Kurenio »

So I wanted tot crack my back I used a chair to do it and sat on the ground for awhile tired. After a bit I nodded off, but I slowly started to regain control of my body while asleep. It just got to the point where i was able to fully function (with my eyes closed granted), and still be in a dream world having a dream in a dream state. The only reason it seemed to have broken is when I replied to my dog barking at me. so basically speaking broke this nirvana like state... I want to go back it was an absolutely amazing feeling.

EDIT: I was able to tell the dream world apart from the real world I was moving around in, and control each part (dream me and real me) together or apart.
EDIT2: Typos I really shouldn't be typing after getting out of this state.

Hmm, might have been slightly akin to sleepwalking. I think I know what you mean, though - when I'm really tired, I'll half fall asleep, then start dreaming/thinking. I might think about talking to my mom, then it'll become real, so I will actually reply out loud, as if I'm really talking to her. Usually saying something breaks me out of it though.

Really, the brain just does insane, amazing things some times. Maybe it was stuck in that RIM/intent thought state despite your ability to move?

Possibly, but I mean when I do gain consciousness while asleep it always felt different from this. This feeling felt like I could do anything in that state (from a psychical stand point like climbing mt Everest which I'm in no shape to even attempt anymore). Like I don't know becoming whole from being a quarter person. Maybe somehow my adrenaline started pumping. That honestly could be the reason I mean I've never had it pump before when I had any reason left in my mind to remember how it felt. I now kind of want to train myself to get into this state at will if that is even possible at all.

I've had situations VERY similar to this. You're dreaming... but.. it feels SO real you'd swear it was.. and then you do something, or say something, and it snaps you out of it. I've had it be anything from me almost waking up with a blood curdling scream (bolting upright, and near screaming), sometimes that's liked to a falling dream.. where I'll wake up as soon as I hit the ground.. I've also had ones where I'd wake up elbowing my boyfriend at the time in the face (that was a shock to both of us... And I woke up like.. literally mid-elbow.. so I was awake when it hit... totally a wtf moment). During the dream, it feels like it's real. And afterwards.. it's like "Okay.. I now know I was dreaming but... It felt real".

Are you certain that you were actually moving around, physically, while asleep? Had stuff been moved? Were you in a different place? If so, I'd say it could be some form of sleep walking. Perhaps your mind simply made up the dream in order to explain what your body was doing.. or the dream was just the mental processing of the sleep-walking actions? I don't know... I haven't taken much psychology.. heh.

I've also had moments where I'll be.. just slightly more than half asleep... and I'll end up doing stuff, and then not realizing how I got where I was or something.. but that's more of a total mental blackout, while my body keeps doing stuff.

Well I'm not sure a lucid dream wouldn't give you full control over 4 of your 5 senses. Though sight didn't really seem to matter to me, and yes I was fully aware of where I was moving. Since I opened the fridge lol. The movement between the dream and the real world were no way connected and I was aware when I'd do something in the real world as well as control what I was doing and what it was too. I think lucid dreams was being able to control your dream, I've been able to do that for awhile. (I hate being conscience while not dreaming and being asleep. Every time I do it I walk myself up) I guess it was kind of a perfected state of what crystal said where you would wake up screaming to a nightmare, but no nightmare was present and I was fully aware of myself in both the dream and real world. I'm just going to stop typing now as I am repeating myself for no reason lol.
