Ghostcrawler was naturally the first one, and also the most uneventful. However from there, the magic began...
Karoma. Because I'd seen her corpse a couple of hours before dinging 85, I had a rough timer on her. When the time came close to midnight, I started the camp, occasionally circling through all her spawn points, but she didn't want to show up. As much as the CoC spawn point was tempting me, I left Subira between the two Southernmost spawnpoints for the night - to double my chances, I told myself, before going to bed. It came as no surprise that NPCScan didn't go off that night, so the first thing I did in the morning was to do a quick round through the rest of the spawn points... The last one I reached was the very same spawn point that'd been pulling me the previous night, and there she was... Patiently waiting for her new mistress to find her.
With the two original beasts down, I headed over to Mount Hyjal and spent the day at the cats' area as well as Bant'halos'. Needless to say there were no sightings until that night, when Ban'thalos decided to show herself. After a dozen of attempts gone horribly wrong (and the one successful attempt ruined by a pesky Alliance hunter breaking my trap), he was tamed by another hunter - a Draenei, whom I congratulated before leaving, heartbroken. What little cheeriness I had the following morning was washed away by the fact that Magria had spawned at 4 AM... And I didn't wake up to NPCScan's warning.
My luck was about to change, however... Perhaps Ankha felt pity towards me and talked Ban'thalos into spawning for me again less than an hour after I'd settled down for more camping. This time I was far more calm for reasons unknown, and Ban'thalos soon shrunk and took her place by my side. And as if it wasn't enough already, within ten minutes I happened to fly right over Ankha, who was more than happy to join me.
The next night I made sure there was a more startling alarm should Magria, the last spirit that had still evaded me, show up. And he did! Exactly at the same time as the previous night, no less, and this time NPCScan didn't fail to wake me up. Looking back, I was so sleepy I'm sure I would've attempted the tame a couple of times with all my gear on, had I not taken it all off before heading to bed... Wish I was that smart more often.
