Ankha and Magria

While on my way into the MF to do dailies my addon blares for Ankha. I'd previously tamed and released her as we just didn't click. But noone else wanted to tame her so I figured wth, at the very least it might help another rare spawn somewhere else. When I first tamed her I did it without a problem but this time the little brat killed me twice. First time I forgot I had my cloak on and that armor amount must've been just enough to kill me. Second time I res'd and forgot to get my health back before I jumped into the tame lol. Needless to say that didn't go well. I didn't try trapping as I heard they're immune, not sure if it's true though.

Once tamed I've gained a new appreciation for Ankha. She really is quite pretty. She's very ethereal and moon-like so I was looking for a name that meant moon. I came across Monday, the day named after the moon. My Magria is renamed Freyja, after the Goddess who's chariot is pulled by two large cats, and Gondria (who've I've since released) was named Friday after the day named after Freyja. All of this just pointed to the fact that Ankha's new name should be Monday.

I took some screenshots of Monday and then some of Freyja for comparison. They're very similar yet different and they don't feel like different skins of the same animal to me! I'm not sure if Monday will be a permanent part of my stable or in what I call my revolving stable but I plan to play with her over the next few days and see what feels right!

Monday, right after the tame...I did get dressed first, lol!


She definitely fits the term "spirit beast" IMO. She's the most ghostly looking of all of them, IMO.

I love the name Freyja so was definitely going to have a cat named after her and Friday and Monday just clicked with me as names for my cats that fit with the whole "Freyja" theme. IDK, it just works for me but I'm not particularly into Freyja or anything lol!

Freyja cheated on her husband with lots of people, including HER OWN BROTHER, and he ended up leaving her. She was tricked by a really awesome god into giving up her falcon cloak via an illusion he used to pretend to be her husband coming back to her. So she is pretty damn dense. Despite the Vanir being the sorceror race and the Aesir being the warrior-race, the Aesir proved themselves much better than the Vanir (except Odin and Thor, also need to wear "I'm with stupid" shirts when standing next to each other) and beat them in a war. Those cats totally need to wear that shirt. Freyja may be associated with death, but she isn't the goddess of death. That would be Hela, caretaker of Nifleheim. She takes all the souls unworthy of Valhalla for herself and they will be used as an undead army for her father at Ragnarok. Yes, Norse mythology is awesome. Strangely, my Loque (a cat) is named Hela. Part of her is shining, glowing, with beauty and the rest of her is rather dull and normal looking, so Hela sort of fits Loque since Hela was also born half beautiful, half...not.

Her pet boar also needs to wear an "I'm with stupid" shirt when walking around Asgard with her.

2) Sounds like Freyja was the victim here and it's the fault of whoever this jerk of a god is that tricks chicks into sleeping with him.

Sigh! Even in make-believe land everyone always blames the chick! First Eve now Freyja! I stand in solidarity against imaginary sexism with my mythological sisters! Next up is "Free Freyja" t-shirts!

He did NOT SLEEP WITH FREYJA! Disgusting! He just pretended to be her husband so she would give him her illusionary falcon cloak so he could fly without having to shapeshift. She deserves the blame for being so incredibly stupid that she couldn't even cast a "detect magic/illusion" spell, despite being a sorceress goddess! The students in Harry Potter are smarter.

Freyr totally deserves to have all his girlfriends wear an "I'm with creepy" T-shirt. However, he gave up his MAGICAL SWORD OF AWESOME or whatever to marry a giantess. This ultimately led to his well-deserved death at the hands of Surtr. At least, it will in Ragnarok, whenever that rolls around...according to Mimir's prophecy's. Mimir. Not Mimiron the giant gnome head.

Oops, read that wrong lol! Still, it's his fault. Freyja was just trusting her husband while her brother was being deceitful. Deceit is worse than stupidity! Freyja probably just had a blonde moment! Happens to the best of us! Besides, her brother giving up a magical sword of awesome to marry a giantess takes the cake for stupid. Supposedly, Norse giantesses were supposed to be really hot and his new wife was supposedly the hottest woman in the world. Uhm, she at least had huge boobs, no matter what. Haha. I named a female cat I had after Loki's giantess wife, Angrboda. The Norse gods LOVED giantesses and pretty much did anything to get in their pants.
