Why would they tease us with these shiny dragons and then not implement them? Why?

They have strongly Asian characteristics. I'm betting they'll come out with MoP.

In the MoP Art Panel during Blizzcon there was a video where that new 'chromatic' dragon mount (the long asian one) was shown in the background, the animation skeleton for it. It could very well be for MoP, though the models did seem pretty finalized in the datamined versions. I guess we won't know until they release it regardless.

It's still a while before MoP so maybe it's part of the fun stuff they have planned before then. The look of them *really* was reminiscent of the Dragon Soul so I was really expecting it to be at least superficially related. Honestly I was a bit relieved to see it wasn't part of the raid achievements. Then again it'd be even worse as an ultra-rare loot card
