It used to be tamable with the bottle atleast. But on Wowhead it says it's not anymore due to the buff being removed on death by now. I want to try to make sure though. I also want a crab with that buff 'cause it's epic. D:

Have you tried the technique where you kite it over to and then tame it on the rocks?

IIRC, they weren't tamable with the bottles when they were first found months ago.

I have one of these with the bottle on two hunters :D Both named Nipper. It was back when the petAbandon macro still functioned. I don't dare take them out except for show, though, they lose the buff upon death.

They were one of the ones that you could tame, WITH bottle, using the abandon macro method. The buff was lost on death, though, so now that the macro method's been fixed, there's no way (that we're aware of) to do it :(

Somewhere in this thread there were some screenshots of it.

Yeah. Now you're here. Can you explain how the heck you did that? O_o

I had been pulling an allnighter with two friends and started at 6.00 and at 11.00 I still didn't have it. I tried all ways of getting it! O_o

Just as a note, Wowhead actually has pictures of a hunter with this pet with the bottle. In case folks want to be able to see what it looks like!

That's awesome. I'd almost be obliged to call you king/queen?? of buff taming since it went so well. But I was really just referring to how to get the spider, since that was the one that interested me the most, so to say. Could you put up a small instruction? I do know that you had to have the whinnying quest, where you go on the horse to scare them, but everytime I did it, the skull never showed up and it was a normal spider.

This is very, very odd. Why is the pet despawning?

-- If this is the new, viable buff method -- imagine.. we didn't have those regrowth tigers back then. Imagine.. imagine getting a pet with that damage buff.. if it could be pulled off... so banworthy but man, that is tempting to try.
