Can't install the beta.

I've been trying for days to install the stupid beta but it just won't work. I leave it overnight to install because it takes so damn long. I left it on around 16% last night when I went to bed. This morning I woke up and it was back to 0% and it had crashed apparently, left me a lovely error report. Now when I try to open the installer again it gets stuck on 'updating setup files'. No one on the official forums will help me at all, what can I do?! D:

Have you tried any of the fixes people have posted about in forums? There are a lot of different causes and fixed for a small handful of errors that people are getting.

Just wanting to know what you've done before I try helping. XD

I couldn't find any fixes for it on the EU forum. There was one, but it wasn't working for anyone at all so it was shunned away quickly.

Edit: Not very fair that US has a support forum for the beta and EU doesn't.

I uninstalled all the beta files and downloaded the setup again, it works now, but because I don't know what caused it it may as well do it again.

It will happen again. Repeatedly.

Next time launcher gets stuck on updating setup files, try to delete Battle.net folder from your %programdata% location, and then restart the launcher. It worked, at least in previous builds for most people.

I have seen people doing that but I have no idea how to find this file, if I search for %programdata% in the start menu search bar it finds nothing.

Meh I give up for now. Going to install it when it's more worth it because from what I've heard nothing is working on beta right now anyway. (Pandas get stuck three quests in.)

I started my installation over completely and it worked. The download gets really dodgy if interrupted, at least in my personal experience.

The patch that's supposed to fix those broken quests/objects is going in today.

I noticed they were patching some stuff recently but they didn't make it too obvious when it was being implemented or anything so I thought this might have been why people's installations of the beta have been a bit dodgy as of lately. I think once I know for sure they're done updating for the time being, *then* I'll install the beta.

Don't search for %programdata%, just use the Run command from Start menu. Most likely, it's located under C:\ProgramData.
