So far there have been a lot more fun Minor Glyphs Added to MOP, many of them, for other classes. We have been gifted with one new one so far, glyph of the aspects. So far its seems pretty cool (apart from killing the poor little guys when swapping aspects) but I'm sure there could be other cool glyphs, right?..... Right?!?
Personally I would love to see some sort of cosmetic effect we could choose to add to our pets. Did you ever notice that when we Blood lust/Heroism/Time Warp our hands light up for the duration?
Did you notice that our pets, paws/claws/wings and maws all do the same also?
I would just love it if via some minor glyph, we could pick an effect that we could display on our pet. Something along the lines of “Glyph of the Fiery Pet, Glyph of the Icy Pet or Glyph of the Shadowy Pet”
A glyph that adds a small permanent spell effect emitting from our current pet. An example would be like what the Searing Roc carrion bird currently has, for Glyph of the Fiery Pet.
Or for Glyph of the Icy Pet as what the Ice Paw Bears have in ZF
Of course these effects would simply be cosmetic, but I still thing they would add a lot of fun and flavor to our pets and hunters
So, what fun minor glyph would you like to see in MOP?

I'm hoping for a minor glyph that allows us to show our pets at a size closer to their size in the wild (to eliminate "too big" - devilsaurs - and "too small" - Lo'Shall). Just being able to see a difference between, say, a normal red corehound and the Beast would be fun!
I like your idea of pets having a faux element buff. Seems very WoW-y without being anything more than cosmetic (which is really what we're after here!).
Cosmetic "aura" buffs like that would be a brilliant use of minor glyphs! Apart from the fun, it'd also make it easier to pick out your pet in a crowded raid.
A glyph that lets all of your pets do some kind of trick would also be great, though it'd be nice if that was added anyway. Even if some models don't have anything really cute like the bird loops, they could always do something based on their current animations, even if it's just to roar or "play dead"
I would love a glyph to make my pet closer to his wild size. I have an original grim totem spirit guide, and it's really obvious on the beta that he isnt karoma because he's like a tiny ghost puppy. He's nearly vanity pet sized with the glyph of lesser proportion on on top of that. So cute!

Some sort of 'play' or 'trick' glyph would indeed be pretty neat, though I suspect it'd be a pain to implement, just because of the different families/models and having to come up with something for each.
I'll admit, I'd love to see GIR aka Chromaggus, toss a bone around and do some of the corehound pup animations.

Someone's got to have some amount of free time to work on cute things, right? Riiiiight?
The special effect glyphs sound fun, especially since they (seemingly) locked down "trick tames".
In re: pet size I personally would go for a simple glyph of greater proportion like the lesser proportion glyph originally was slated to be back in 4.0 iirc. Would be very useful for things like ghostcrawler and the blighthounds.
Having a permanent glowing bloodlust effect on pets would be neat. Most pets, if not all, have a set point to where this glow is. Most are on their hands/feet but some pets like core hounds makes their nose light up!
I agree they should bring back glyph of greater proportion. Also make glyph of lesser proportion have an increased effect. You can barely notice the size difference now.
A rare visitor to this forum now that I don't play WoW anymore, but forever a Petopian.
If I could create my own "wish" glyph I would create a glyph that would let you take on the appearance of any beast you cast beast lore on.
It would have a duration of something like two minutes, and would allow the casting of any non combat ability (traps, camouflage, etc) and would break upon entering combat.
As for the name of the glyph I am not sure, but maybe the glyph of shifting or something like that.

A glyph that makes our mount look like our pet, though it would mean a lot of coding and is very unlikely.
A glyph that makes our camouflage look, instead of see through (I mean really?!), like either a stalking beast of some sort or a moving bush.
And I have seen video on the glyph for the stances, you use dragonhawk stance and summing the small mini black owl, etc. does that work from your mini companions, or alongside them?

I'll like this idea too. As much as I can appreciate larger pets, they can look very neat, I'm a bit of a fan of smaller pets, depending of family type also. If they could make the "glyph of lesser proportion" a little more lesser, that would make my day.

Oh that one sounds super fun! I'm not sure if all "beasts" have full animations to them so I'm not sure of the coding side of it. (Maybe if it was only any beast we could tame? as they seem to have made sure they all do) but I really like the idea.
Delphinie wrote:I would want glyph of mini pet or companion pet size for our normal pets.
Again this would be cool, but then this could also be a Universal Glyph.... one that anyone could use as other classes <3 mini pets too . Though it is a little similar to Papa Hummel's Old-Fashioned Pet Biscuit which is from the loot cards, and I'm not sure if they would want to make the use of the card less valuable

From reports so far, you keep your current companion pet, as well as the one summoned from the glyph, Mini pets all round!

I was thinking about some sort of animal mind-link ability that could be applied to Eagle Eye. Instead of just zooming the camera in on a fixed position, you could target a beast and look through their eyes (possibly even control it for a short period of time?).

Omg like a priests Mind Vision, but instead.... Beast Vision! Now that could be cool!
It would almost make it a brand new ability, but hell I wouldn't mind, it would be awesome!
Mage: (OMG, did you see that druid, it was flagged and just went into stealth)
Hunter: (Really, hang on a sec..... Oh its ok, not to worry)
Mage: (Oh really, phew I thought he was heading this way)
Hunter: (Oh he is, but he's going to eat you 1st, I'm.. he's right behind you)..
Mage: (Wait WhateEErhhaaaaRGhHHH!!)

Yeah, I couldn't think of an ideal ability to tie it to. Hmm, maybe as a perk to Beast Lore? Make it a bit more fun and let you 'become' the beast for a few seconds while you read up on the stats or something.
I like the idea of changing the snakes in snake trap to something else.
Personally, I would love a bunch of white rabbits hopping out and jumping all over my target. Would be hilarious, lol
Maybe a glyph that made arcane shot look like a single arcane missile?
Or a glyph that changed the hunters mark to a giant hand with a finger pointing down?
Or maybe a glyph that changes your camouflage so that instead of making you transparent, it turns you into a critter for the same duration.
Love the Eyes of the Beast revamp, hee! Very situational, but in WoW terms, it still kind of makes sense...
*snickers quietly at the hunter's mark changing suggestion* Perhaps we could go the BioWare route and change its color to red, green, or blue.... (That was a joke.)
*Causes entire party to Feign death. This will likely reset the boss and you may be yelled at in chat if you had them at 2%
(one I thought of a while ago in some other forum topic here)
*Glyph of Mounted Pet*
*Transforms your mount into your active pet. Not responsible to injuries due to lack of straddles.
(maybe your pet turns into a vehicle or sorts? (think hopping into the sidecar of a mechano-hog) and then you can ride them around?)
If druids are becoming stags next exp, i think hunters should be able to mount their pets, Sporebats and Seagulls included (seagull + tauren = fun)
