profs for hunters

Unread post by kairii »

right i jumped on teh ban wargon and joined a forum guild :p
and now after a 24 hours of playing that lil hunter i wanna keep her :o so i dont wanna mess about with it!
so i wanna have nice profs for it ofc now i know best is LWer and Jcer but OMFG I HATE LEVELING JCING! *cough* so i would like to avoid that prof :3
now i was thinking LWer and Inscribing due to the enchants i get with it plus DMC's to sell /use >:3 i have my spare 80 druid on teh same realm and well .. its that un-used i dont care much about its profs .. i gave it taiouring for my alt priest so i can always ditch that for skinning and herbing for lil bishoujo <3 then again depends on the realms AH price cas if its all cheap i dont really mind buying it all
or i could go for kairii combo of engi/inscribe again shoulder enchants boot enchants belt ... back ... ammo : |

BAH D:
i dont knwo anyone got any personal ideas whhich is best for lil bishoujo?
i leveling with skinning and mining merely for the extra gold :)

Well, for hunters I usually go with mining/engineering. Skinning/leatherworking works too. However, for moneymaking I always go Enchanting/Jewelcrafting.

I also exist on DeviantArt.

Engineering and inscription sound good. Although it is tedious to have an alt farm mats for another toon.

Personally I suggest herbalism and inscription.

but i wont need the gather i got kittysawrus fer that she has been though every prof under the sun so i can go for the useful ones xD
Lwing means i can make gear since we have alot of druids and hunters .... so it is tempting : |

and farming on alts never did bother me cas well theres rares on my realm ... say i was going to log my priest ... its well known to be a herber so people will pay me while im herbing to inform them on rares since im like a magnet for them
ive been paying 2k-6k before when i found one even thhough i cry and beg for them not to pay cas i was in teh area anyways </3

JC is pain to level but it's well worth it in the end. You can make your own gems and you get the dragon eye's as well.

Honestly? I'd say herbalism and skinning. They're super easy to level as you quest, they make you a ton of cash (which you can put towards gems/LW boes/whatever) and the crit and self-heal are both nice for hunters.

I've gone for skinning and mining. One because of the money and two it's because of their boosts. Course, leather and ores/bars are not the only things that I throw in the AH. I've been earning enough gold to buy some more-than-average gear people sell at the AH, and I am wise enough to not buy things that are too expensive (i.e. if I were to see a blue someone wants for 500g)

I Have mining and JC. The 2 of them go hand in hand. I tried Herb and Mining but I didn't like switching back and forth. My lock has herb and eng and my Druid has lw and skinning.

Well herbalism and mining really don't work well together. I have them on my DK because I like lifebloom and I want the stam as a tank (and they're both quick ways to make cash) but I am constantly spamming my tracking switch macro. >_<

Anyway, I'd recommend one or the other coupled with skinning simply because you don't need tracking for it and you're killing beasties anyway. All my skinners were well into Outlands levels of skinning before hitting 58 and upwards of the 400s before hitting 68.

Based on all the different responses, I'd say go with whatever sounds most fun. :)

Depends on what you're looking for. In terms of flat out DPS, the best profs are Blacksmithing and Jewelcrafting. Blacksmithing allows you a total of 3 extra sockets, and Jewelcrafting allows the creation of better gems.

In terms of leveling and utility, Leatherworking is handy as is Engineering. For gold-making, any gathering professions are solid, but Mining and Herbalism will net you the most.
