I'd like to request something from beta users, and that goat pics! I've only seen a handful of tamed goats, and honestly I find them as an awesome addition!
Also, are old world rams included in this family? *crosses fingers* If so, I'm gonna have to bring my old dwarf hunter out of retirement.
Thanks for any/all responses! Catch you later, I gotta goat
I don't have a goat myself yet, but I'm sure others can post some of their screenies.
I just wanted to note that currently the goats are a bit bugged - the brown model is the only one that's loading, so all goats are brown by default right now (the other colours will doubtlessly return later).
Rams are not included at this point in time, nor are any other ungulates. It's just the new Pandaria goats.
Ah, thanks Veph. As silly as it sounds, I'm looking forward to a pet that bucks up and kicks an enemy. Something different the the usual paw swipe and bites we usually see. I love the ram/stag/horse attack animations.
I so hope rams will be added too. I've always wanted to tame one..
I'll be waiting on the highland, with its wonderful serenity.
Where the stars glow and the brooks flow, that's my way of life.
When the mountains on the highland, and the nature is surrounding me, when the wind blows, that's all I need.

Yeah. This is one of the reasons I'm waiting to see if we get more tameables before 'filling out my ideal stable'. I would *really* love to have a tamed ram my own self, rather than having to use the new goat models. I like them, don't get me wrong, but I *want* a ram! I'm a dwarf!
There is at least one type of goat npc in the game that uses the ram model, Billy Goat in the Badlands. I've mentioned it to Noah in case they want to change it to use the new goat model (which may or may not look a bit weird there) or make it tameable. Cross fingers for the latter
I am honestly surprised that rams were not included with Goats right off the bat, especially considering the inclusion of Spore Walkers into the Waterstrider family...

While this feature of the Grimtotem Spirit Guide wasn't exactly intended... - it will still be possible in future for everyone who wishes to tame this NPC to do so
Wow, I never noticed how massive those goats look... They look gigantic!

Agreed. Plus the model looks more like some sort of mountain goat than a regular ram anyway
Awesome pics guys! I love the attack animation! I'm also really impressed with it's model too, the details are very sharp. I like noisy pets too, So that's cool. I foresee a white goat in my future. ^_^
And Doomcookie, your screenshot with the moon is pretty epic.
I suppose I am in the minority here but I actually don't like this model at all. I love goats (in real life), and I love the old ram models in game, but these goats look TERRIBLE. They look so... derpy. Their models don't look at all impressive to me - sure, they have more polygons, but everything else about them looks wrong. What bothers me most is that their eyes are in the front of their heads, like dogs. Grazing animals are prey animals and as such have eyes on the sides of their heads to be able to see a much wider radius. I know that this is a game but to me it is a pretty important detail. These models have no substance to me... All icing and no cake. Still hoping for rams.

Oh wow, you know until you mentioned that I hadn't noticed that. It is unusual. The model still looks great, but now they eyes are gonna slightly bother me. :/. Still, I wants one!

To each their own, idgaf about real world equivalents. xD Wow goats don't have to be the same.
