Blizz has opened the door.?

of more family. Maybe we would see kodos, thunder lizards, stegadon, mammoths, elleks, and clefthooves as tamable beasts soon

Well, I'm not too concerned over the rhino-esque pets, but I've been longing for Mammoths (and elekks) since I first saw them in LK... /grabbyhands

whatabout shoveltusk. I think shoveltusk can be grouped as boars.

I'm not really sure how to classify shovel tusks. They look a lot like stags, except they're antlers are actually tusks. But they attack, well like a mix of boars and rams. I'm not sure, I'd love them tamamble, but it's hard to classify them.

I am feeling very optimistic with all these new creatures. I will fight tooth and nail to keep the mushan, I really really hope they weren't a glitch.

I would not get your hopes up just yet. For all we know the mushan could be a glitch. Just wait and see is the best way of going about this.

I wouldn't become too enthusiastic yet. For every new family they add there's a lot of work that needs to be done, and more for each individual model to ensure it has relevant animations that don't look too weird, etc. Plus I'm sure they'll want to keep some for the future. Something to yearn for and look forward to.

So I wouldn't expect the floodgates to just open and everything be made tameable this expansion. But maybe I'll be surprised :)

I wouldn't say stuff like ''they are big stupid lizards'', you could spark some serious anger.

Shoveltusks definitely deserve some love. They have an amazing, unique model, that yet can be found in just one zone, and what's more this zone being an early-leveling one (for it's expansion bracket) you probably won't visit again. Some other creature I could compare them to are marshstriders - that we're getting for tames.

Shovies could go into rhinos (the skills match them well). Or, at least, I want a shovie mount. Nao!

That's an extremely opinionated sentence... if that's how you feel about Mushan, then yaks are just big stupid mammals, for that matter! They're both in the same position here...

I believe at one point Blizzard made a post about mammoths, they were fine with them as pets, as the rhinos were being added in, but they didn't scale down correctly, and the tiny mammoths just didn't look right

oh well come on... having a pet letter IS stupid.
I just can't see myself having a little X following me around.
what would be its special attack?
"Grammar Nazi": X freezes the mob in complete confusion by correcting its grammar using multi-syllabic words"
"School Marm": reduces mob's armor by 5% as X raps its knuckles repeatedly with a wooden ruler"

A bit of palindromic wisdom:
"Step on no pets!"
Casual player.. don't raid, don't PvP. Suffer from extreme altitis
I love pets - combat or non.

I like my pet x. :( You should see how adorable Spot is when he charges into combat! And it was a stroke of genius on Blizzard's part to make the family ability automatically apply hunter's mark to the x's active target; it saves me a glyph slot. :D
