Question About Mounts

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before, if it has can you just link me to where the discussion is?

I am just curious to how the account wide mounts will work for mounts such as rep. Do you have to grind again to get Exalted with each faction in order to use the mount? Or, will being exalted with certain factions work account wide as well? I have been trying to find something that explains it but I haven't had luck yet.

I know mounts such as the Retired, Arena and Pally/Lock mounts won't be BoA. I believe I saw something that stated the same for profession mounts as well like the flying carpet?

I haven't been on much since I have been had a lot of RL stuff going on and dealing with my soon to be 6 month old. I check MMO when I can but I am SO behind on news. D:

I'm just copying some information from blue posters This was the latest update:

We have been discussing this issue the last couple of days and we made the call to make the following mounts account-wide:

Traveler's Tundra Mammoth
Grand Expedition Yak
Mechano-Hog
Mekgineer's Chopper
Sandstone Drake
Grand Ice Mammoth
Ice Mammoth
Jeweled Onyx Panther (all color variants)
Cloud Serpents (all color variants)


At this point, the only mounts that are not account-wide are either class specific or rewarded from PVP. We feel like both these types of mounts should still be character specific.

Blizzard is still working on it honestly, which ones that are going to be account wide and which are not, is my understanding.

The Recruit a Friend mounts will NOT, at this moment, be account wide (which kinda ticks me off). I'm hoping they change that still.
