I'm just... happy and relieved: my guild just hit level 9
there are a few other guild members, but they aren't playing all that much.
I've been doing Firelands, Therazane, and Ramkahen dailies on 6 toons, which nets me around 2 million guild exp per day.
I can't keep that pace up forever, but right now, I'm obsessing on getting the Firelands achievement mount on a bunch of my toons (almost there).
I'm sort of disappointed that the level 6, 7 and 8 guild perks are not as interesting. Less damage when you die... almost twice in a row (honestly, the way I play, I TRY not to die at all, and normally succeed).
I can hardly wait for the Hasty Hearth one.
And then there's a bunch of guild perks, again, that don't seem all that interesting to me. But they are going to take gradually longer and longer to get, anyway.

Re: I'm just... happy and relieved: my guild just hit level
if I had a dozen moderately active people in the guild, the levels would fly by, I imagine.
as it is, I'm pretty burned out from doing all those dailies by myself... six toons doing 12-13 dailies... I don't want to lose interest in the game. but it IS getting a bit tiresome.

Re: I'm just... happy and relieved: my guild just hit level
I'm amazed that you have been able to do that alone. I would have given up before level 2. lol
My guild (which has roughly 7 actively playing people) just hit level 19 recently, and it has been really hard getting there, so I can imagine how it is with one person getting a guild that high.
Good luck on the further levels!

Re: I'm just... happy and relieved: my guild just hit level
since I posted this, we are now 55% to level 8!!!
damn those Firelands dailies are generous!
Got my mounts on two of the toons I do dailies with, still working on it with the other 8... yes, that's 10 in all that I do the dailies with.
I added a couple of new members, though only one is really active at all (she just blew right past me, from level 1 to 85 in next to no time). She and I will be starting Firelands dailies next week as a threesome (with a pair of mine who are barely starting.. the priest only just hit 85 last week).

As far as I remember, you're also multi boxing, right?
Because that way you can get some guild challegnes as well, if you just do the easiest dungeons for your level. I've managed to do Lower Blackrock Spire on 3 level 60'ish hunters in mostly PvP gear. Got 300k guild XP for that. (This is on another than my main server, where I have an one-man guild).

Re: I'm just... happy and relieved: my guild just hit level
I was actually thinking of getting three most active members of the guild together with me dual-boxing, and trying out some "real" dungeons.
that would make for a full party. however, our Priest (S.Priest) doesn't have much experience at healing since he and his BF usually just play as a couple (his BF plays a hunter).
actually, the choices for us would be:
three hunters, a warlock, and a S.Priest
or four hunters, and a S.Priest
(I can dual-box my mains one of which is Warlock, or I can use any of my other pairs of Hunters).
Is the dungeon in Deepholm a level we might be able to take on? (I really don't know the Cata dungeons at all)
as long as there are no special vehicle mechanics during the dungeon, we're ok. as a dual-boxer, I'm trapped if there's vehicle mechanics. no macros work when on a vehicle.

It was either Vortex Pinnacle or Stonecore (the one in Deepholm you mentioned), but now I forget.

Re: I'm just... happy and relieved: my guild just hit level
I've managed to do Blackrock Caverns on my hunters, but it's not easy at the 3'rd boss where you have to pull him through the fire thingy.
What I've done instead is having my friend with me on her death knight, but I guess that's not an option for you.
You'll need someone that can hold aggro and pull him through the fire. If you could manage to do that, the rest of the dungeon is easy.
And even if you don't have anyone in your guild that can do that, you can still do it if you have someone willing to help you. As long as there's 3 of you in the same guild, you'll get the challegne.
In my one man guild, I've thought of making a hunter party and locking their XP at around level 20 or something, and just spam Wailing Caverns or Ragefire Chasm. Very easy to do, specially Ragefire Chasm when you're horde.
Such a shame you can't group with people from US realms, or I'd gladly help you..

I just tried today, and you can skip the third boss, but it will make Raz bugged, and he won't spawn at the last boss. So to be able to kill the last boss you have to kill some of the adds first.

Re: I'm just... happy and relieved: my guild just hit level
we're already at 66% into level 7.
at this rate, another week and we level again.
I imagine that quests and such in MoP will be giving proportionately larger sums of guild experience?
And I imagine they'll be also cutting the amount of guild exp that the dailies we're doing now give? I guess an expac is a double-edged sword.
Just doing the Firelands dailies that I DO do, I am making around 175g per toon, per day.
Will that (lovely and oh so helpful) amount drop dramatically with the expac?
I remember when Cataclysm came out they radically reduced the amount of money dailies had been giving.

http://wow.joystiq.com/2012/08/29/limit ... tch-5-0-4/
Patch 5.0.4 appears to have made a major change to the way guilds level and the way characters earn guild reputation. The daily and weekly caps for guild leveling and guild reputation game have been removed entirely, allowing players to grind reputation and experience to their heart's content. With a Renowned Guild Tabard, my alt was gaining a whopping 367 guild reputation per quest turned in, making the grind to exalted a relatively quick one.
But there's more than just the cap removal. Apparently, the reputation and guild experience you gain is no longer limited by level, either -- which means that were I to make a new level 1 and slap on that tabard, I'd still be making 367 reputation per quest completed. Speaking of alts, my bank alt completed a couple of quests in Azshara just to test this theory. Not only did she get a sizeable reputation gain, but she also earned a whopping 60,000 guild experience per quest turned in.
This makes it much, much easier for guilds to level, whether you're part of a small friends and family guild or just wanting to level a guild for your bank alt. In either case, guilds should have a much easier time hitting level 25 before Mists officially launches in September.

it really IS going faster.
(we also have a new member, which is nice too.. so the guild slowly grows away from "me and my alts"!)

Re: I'm just... happy and relieved: my guild just hit level
what I LOVE about this change to guild experience, is that low-level toons don't eel completely useless.
before, you had to be in the 80's for guild experience to actually accrue. low level toons would be getting maybe 1 or 2 exp per quest. so they didn't feel like they were really contributing.
And of course, now a relatively new member can get the tabard that increases guild experience gains as well... before, this was pretty much restricted to only high level, long-term members.
so overall, I approve of these new guild level changes.
