Question regarding buying MoP

Alright so quick question. I am not sure if anyone may know the answer, but I am trying to figure out what to do.

So if we buy the regular version of MoP, we can upgrade to the CE right? Well, does anyone know the cut-off date to upgrade? I am pretty sure I can get the regular version, but I don't think I will have the money to get the CE for the mount/pet in time of release date. I am just wondering if there is somewhere that states how long you can upgrade or not.

since the only "cost" to Blizz is the development of the skins etc, by having it available to download is mostly profit, i don't remember the fancy Econ-terms.... but its why you'll see the Celestial Steed still avail to download probably for wow-eternity

Confirmed; Blizzard's made that statement already (and you get the option visible on your account screen once you've purchased MoP basic).

I did that exact thing with, Cataclysm, Kasstra. I originally could only afford the regular version of the game, then for my birthday my bf bought me the CE and I upgraded my account. This was a few months after the game came out.

@Slickrock - You need to play D3 in order for that too work and unfortunately, I didn't care for the game.
