14k for Crimson Deathcharger...

Unread post by Royi »

For some reason there are about 5-6 Crimson Deathchargers on sale Ally side on my realm. I don't know the jist of whats going on, if its something fishy, or if these are "hot", but either way I spent all 14,000 of my gold and was able to snatch this guy up:

Grats on supporting one of the gear duplicators. :(

I highly recommend reporting the seller, telling Blizzard that you (truthfully) were not aware of this until after you made your purchase.

They're pretty cheap everywhere now because of the dupers. :/

Dupers have not made it to my server that I've seen.

If it's THAT cheap, it's probably a dupe. Heck, anything undercutting the normal price for the server by too much might be. If in doubt, report.

I heard about some kind of duping thing, but the seller was a lvl 85. Maybe he was on a hacked player's account I guess. I figured as long as he's a 85 then its more "legit" and since there were 4 or 5 more on the AH, i felt maybe the market is just flooded.

Oh well, he sure is fancy! I'll be getting another one in a few months if I decide to start leading ICC25 mans for the 50 shards. Thats a bit of work though. Mount looks great with a pally tier 10

Very likely a dupe and unfortunately if Blizzard decides to act on it they can take it away from you and so you'd be out both mount and money (that at least has happened to some people buying duped epic red gems). In your favor they've so far pretended to not notice a thing - I've been reporting them like crazy but they don't seem to care about it.

No wonder I've been seeing those things around at such insanely low prices. Never heard of this new duplication thing, though, ugh. Half of me is like "Well hey, cheap sweet mounts" and the other is like "That's bull, way to break the game".

Good to know either way, I might start reporting people I see selling mounts at stupidly low prices. I saw a Vial being sold for 15k… Yeah. No.

See I've been seeing people on my servers with all these epics, like one guy with a mass amount of the same epics in the AH. I've said they were duping them forever but everyones like "nah bro no they aren't they can't do that not in WoW" it's funny how people forget Diablo 2 so easily :P

Blizzard has to verify that the person reported is in fact responsible for duplicated items, so there's going to be some lag time. Hopefully they'll get to your reports soon.

Oh yes, I know, and I certainly don't expect them to act solely on one person's report of suspicion (and sometimes, legitimately, someone will sell things in-game for amazingly low prices, so I know it's not always that someone's cheating), but I just find it frustrating to see exploits like this. It just makes the game a more unpleasant place for the majority of the players who are playing by the rules.

Its annoying about hearing that this was perhaps a duplicated item, but I'll enjoy it in the meantime. It looks really nice with my paladin's set.

I wonder if Blizz is really going to do anything with it if its past content. I could understand a rush on Life Binder Hand-Maidens being duplicated, but to really investigate things like this costs Blizz money. They have to pay their employees to deal with this, maybe its just not worth the money to "fix it"

I'unno, they usually take scamming/hacking pretty seriously, and dupers are a bit of both.

AFAIK they have been removing some of the mounts from people when the find the mount was the product of an exploit. So they are doing something, its just a slow process. Its sorta like how they used to deal with all of the BG bots, you know? They take a while to track them down, study them and then try to figure out how to break them. They then patch something in to break the bots and voila, poof they go (for the most part).

Congratz, I think it's just cos people are finding Lich King so easy to down now and getting the weapon and peices etc is easy enough now too so i don't think there's something dodgy about these mounts so i wouldn't worry to much if i were you.

Enjoy your new mount, I know i would :ugeek:

Hey maybe Xcturnus is just finding the good in people. :)

Either way yes I am enjoying it at least. Its pretty red. I'll eventually finish my own Shadowmourne but not until Panda dies down a bit (i'm on infusions)
