As long as you have the glyph and your timing down, you can do it. Of course, I did it the hardest possible way in that video....no aspect of the iron hawk for me!

I tamed him just to see if it was doable a few days ago. I just used Distract Shot, Disengage, and then Deterrence/Tame Beast macro, and it was done. Oh and of course the Tame Beast Glyph. Super easy.

ETA: And I did have Iron Hawk too!

Maybe you were already hitting tame beast after he finished his toxin cast then? Because I always used to hit tame before and never got interrupted - so this was definitely a change.

Still easy to do; it's just a question of timing for those of us who were extremely prompt before.

Maybe! I'm going to try to tame him again actually pay attention next time. It all happened so fast this last time. I thought it would take a few tries to be honest. All I know is after I used DS, I didn't DE until he got right up on me, then as soon as I landed I hit my deterrence/tame beast macro. It was over in seconds. I was about 40-50% hp when he was tamed.

OH!! My bf just reminded me I used a haste pot too! That probably made a huge difference seeing as how it's like a 50% haste buff at my current haste amount as BM.

Oooh, yes, that would make a massive difference! xD Must have been a super-speedy tame.

I experimented a bit to make absolutely sure that he was interrupting the tame cast, since there was really no reason for him to be doing that, since deterrence was still blocking the toxin from doing damage to me - but he was! Silly griefing spider.
