Looking for a Bag addon...

Unread post by Sukurachi »

right now, I have an out-of-date addon that I really love, but it looks like its basically dead in the water now.

OpenContainer

What it does?

very simple

opens all (or selected) bags when activating bank, guild bank, auction house, vendor, crafting.
closes all (or selected) bags, in same situations (you can choose whether it opens AND/OR closes, and where).

it also allows to move bags on the screen vertically and horizontally.

it doesn't merge bags, it doesn't go find out what's on every alt on every server.
like I said, it's a VERY simple addon, but it worked so flawlessly.
right now, it's getting... old in the tooth.

Can someone suggest an alternative for this?

Is the addon broke or just out of date?

I've looked at (but not tried) Bagnon... but in the description it seems to be more of a "make one huge bag out of all your bags" addon. Is this right?

I like AdiBags which not only combines your bags into one, but organizes them into categories.

Your outfits, herbs, ore, trade goods, junk, quest items, etc. are put right next to each other which makes it very easy to find everything. Any items that you get are put in the New category and highlighted so you don't have to search to find out what you just looted.

You can also easily see currencies from the bag window and you have control over which ones are displayed. No need to go into your character info and then the currencies tab, just open up your bag window.

It's compatible with 5.0.4 as well.

Bagnon, i cant live without Bagnon.. but i keep my bags fairly well organized. I keep the same materials side by side, quest items side by side, armor im keeping and armor im selling in different parts of my bags, etc. etc. but AdiBags looks alright if you want something to self-organize your bags for you. Though the interface for that looks absolutely huge (is it? could be that the screenies cropped.. but it looks like it takes up the whole screen xD)

But yea, heres Bagnon: http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/bagnon ^^

I use Adibags as well, purely for the categorisation of stuff, incorporating your equipment sets.

If bagnon did this I'd go back to it, but Adibags is where it's at for now for me :)
