Sprite Darter Egg
(can now be sold by putting in a cage for battle pet AH stuff)
Well.
My professions aren't selling, my auctions are coming back. And the most money I make weekly is about 100g. Maybe less.
A few days ago I was playing around on my battle pets and found my sprite darter, whom I got back in.. BC? When my Mum' was leveling her shaman.
The pet means a lot too us, because I remember looting it for her and giving it to her as a present. But, since we share an account, we both have been trying to get money to get us both a Vial of the Sands, which, by sharing an account (Due to lack of money to make my own account ;;), we would get it on all of our characters.
Now don't get me wrong, I love my sprite darter, but I have another. Lucette, whom I have really bonded with. She's a Nether Faerie Dragon, and is one of the most adorable pets I have ever had.
What do you guys think? Should I attempt it, and if it doesn't sell, keep it? Or just not do it at all?
I'm in a dilemma here. :c
Should I?..

I say if the pet has sentimental value, keep it. There are so many other ways of making gold in the game. Besides, it belongs to your mother. If anyone is going to sell it, it should be her, right?

Warcraft Pets says you can have 3 of them, so any alliance toons who haven't done the quest or hordes can farm another one for you.

Re: Should I?..
Sadly the quest was removed with Cataclysm so alliance have to farm it by hand just like the horde-- though they have a harder time because the darter's themselves have a higher chance to drop the pet and they're friendly to ally playersRawr wrote:Warcraft Pets says you can have 3 of them, so any alliance toons who haven't done the quest or hordes can farm another one for you.

Imo not worth it, noooot worth it.. with the loss of the ally side quest, chances of getting a darter are practically like trying to farm one of the many other extremely rare mini pet drops like the Black Tabby or any of the dragon whelps. Its of course, more possible when farming the darters, but not by much. Its definitely going to be something that if you regret losing, will not be easily replaced. If your intent on selling one, you'd be better off farming a second one ;3
But you'd definitely have an easier time gathering raw materials to sell, rather then crafting them and then selling (if thats what your doing.. I hardly ever sell anything i craft. Market just isnt there for me :/) If you are selling raw materials, try checking the different herbs, ores, skins, whatever gathering professions you have, and see whats selling big right now. Never underestimate gathered materials from lvl 1-60!
As a fellow farmer myself, I try to bring a variety of materials to the AH. I never overfarm any one thing cause then i have no bag space and putting all the stacks in the AH at once destroys their value. I usually farm 3-5 stacks at a time, targeting whats selling quick or whats missing from the AH. I also go around Blasted Lands and i farm the rares for their spheres and fragments. Handing these in will give you random gear and weapons and if your lucky you'll be able to make a regular income off these items.
I usually junk them unless they have desireable stats and/or they have an extremely popular graphic, since people will pay quite a bit for random drop items they need for their transmogs. Its time consuming, for sure. You gotta be ontop of the AH daily and keep an eye on whats selling, whats not, and act appropriately :3 I pretty much have no life so im able to farm large amounts of gold in very short amounts of time but even for shared account users and working and/or mothers/fathers, it is still possible to make a steady income though of course it wont be as noticeable over short amounts of time.

Honestly, I say don't do it.
I know it sounds silly, but (at least on my realm - Proudmoore), low level herbs, ore, and leather sell for a buttload. My first toon on this realm was a Skinner/Herber, and I had literally 20k when I hit level 85. And that was with buying epic flight. (not 310 though, I don't find 30% worth 4k). Archaeology also helps with all the greys.
I know you may not like Arch, but it can be an amazing income if you get decent luck. I've had a few 100-200g greys pop up one after another.
And just to note: I'd be careful about where you post you share an account. I doubt someone here will report you, but should you post it somewhere Blizzard can see, it is against the ToS.

If Electraa is under-aged, she is allowed to share an account with her legal guardian.Myzou wrote: And just to note: I'd be careful about where you post you share an account. I doubt someone here will report you, but should you post it somewhere Blizzard can see, it is against the ToS.

But if not, I agree with the advice. It's best not to risk getting your account shut completely!
