I'll just leave this here after a long absence...

Always felt weird posting when I didn't even have my hunter yet.
Lookit' that tiger. Starting zone pets have never been sweeter.

I couldn't agree more. I was so disappointed when I learned all my cat friends were useless to my low level hunters.Nachtwulf wrote:I do like the chuffy pandarian tigers... but I also wish they hadn't made cats worthless until 80. Sure, I mean, I remember the old days when it was 'cat or gtfo' and that wasn't any good either, but to give them a buff you can't even -use- until 80 is kind of blah.
However, congrats on your lovely new friend, Kraai.

in all honesty, the change to pet abilities and talents has confused me considerably.
I don't know what to expect anymore.

That's a matter of opinion. Cats don't have an ability that can stun an off-target. However, they do have bonus damage on the cat's first hit from stealth. One's utility, the other's an infrequent damage bonus. Both are situational.GormanGhaste wrote:Just think of it this way: low-level cats are more useful than basilisks

Re: It's about time...
I suppose I had forgotten about the stealth thing, but... I'll be honest, the constant 'BRWOOOWWWWW' noise and the fact that it makes my cat's attack speed annoyingly slow means the first thing I do upon taming a cat is disable Prowl and leave it off autocast forever.
YMMV if you PVP though.

Ah~
I'm not much for my alts being maximized while leveling.
I'll use my kitty until I run into something I like just as much.
Afterall - I rolled a hunter to collect pets.

seconded.
agree completely.
well, not "agree", as it's not something to agree or disagree on, but rather... I think the same way.

Re: It's about time...
The only time I feel you need that kind of mind-set where you do need to push out as much as you can is when you're going to be doing things with others that aren't exactly "super-casual" - ala; Leveling.
I'll be watching what pet I'm using and learning my rotations once I'm in LFR but for now it's all in good fun.
Gonna go flip and see what pets I can get sub 20 tomorrow morning before doing my morning farming sessions on my Warlock and Death Knight.

Ahhh, missed it completely, due to all of the earlier complaints on the forum about basilisks being "useless."GormanGhaste wrote:Oh I know.
