Wrong.
Turns out when my mom got it, the box had already been opened and I guess she hadn't noticed. So I get to opening it tonight, after I've been waiting to get it since it freaking came out, and go to enter the code to activate it. And I get told that it's already been used. So I'm like '...Wtf? Okay maybe I put it in wrong...Let's try this again.' Same thing. So I try it about five or so more times before I give in and call Blizzard.
The guy who helps me confirms that yes, the code already has been used and apparently it's been used on the other side of the region I believe he said, and that since it's already linked with an account they can't do anything about it. Which of course sucks because now it's obvious that they did not pay for the game since I'm holding the literal physical copy in my hand right then, so yeah.
And now I'm rather annoyed that I'm going to have to wait until Wednesday for my mom to exchange it (she has the receipts), that someone else who didn't pay for the thing is getting to play my game, and that Blizz technically can't do anything about it according to them.
Granted I'm not annoyed as I could be because of the 'your support ticket has been answered' response I got. I went to check it to see if they mentioned anything else that wasn't already said and while they didn't, at the bottom was a Night Elven style parting message. I couldn't help but giggle since Furiku is still my favorite character to play and who will be the first to 90.
