New hunter
Hi
new hunter here.Really enjoying it so far.As i play on an rp server i have this whole back story of how my huntress was a farm hand in Gilneas and devolped an afinty for animals.
Looking at the lists of pets i am lost to what would be good fits for that sort of back story (is fleshed out more but jsut wante to give the overall giest) i still have my starter dog which can be a sheep dog but no idea on others.
currently only lvl 23 taken surv and will have Bm for os i am looking for ones that are "pretty" not scary looking things
Thank you in advance.

Re: New hunter
Hey there, welcome to the forums!
Hmm, possibly a boar... I do see a lot of them on farms throughout the game... granted, they're usually a bit smaller. It could be your prize-winning boar that you raised from a tiny little runt, or something along those lines. You could also go with a nice cat model, too. It could be your mouser... that also can handle larger vermin, too, seeing as rats are some of the smaller of one's worries in Azeroth.
Sadly enough, those are the extent of my ideas... but I'm sure that others here will have some awesome ideas for you, too.

Once you get up to appropriate level (which might take a while) consider taming a goat. Sounds farmhand-ish to me. The first cute pet coming to my mind is a porcupine which again, will take a while to get. Think of a boar perhaps, it could fit a "farm pig turned feral turned combatant".

Re: New hunter
Foxes could work as well as he managed to keep them out of the chicken coup, Dogs of course
Re: New hunter
Back in vanilla I had a hunter that I RPed as a farmer. He had
and
as pets.
Other pets that would work too would be goats, dogs, tallstriders and the normal brown cat model. Foxes are also common in Gilneas, but they would be seen more as pests to your livestock.

Re: New hunter
Others have already said everything that came to my mind, but I think that Raven would be pretty nice for gilnean. Of course, only tamable NPC is level 87, so you need to wait a bit before that.

EDIT:
Doh. Never mind. I somehow was thinking battle pets when it came to the raven pet. My bad.
Re: New hunter
You can also grab the druid-raven from Howling Fjord (only Lv7!) if you're daring enough to try and skirt the LvOMGWTF vrykul in the area. (It's possible! I've done it without aid on a 10 before... admittedly as Alliance. I don't think I'd like to try getting to the area they spawn in as a horde lowbie... XD )
someday I'll find someplace to host a sig that isn't stupid money-grubbing photobucket
Re: New hunter
Horde can always grab a friend/mercenary to get them there on a dragon/rocket.Nachtwulf wrote:You can also grab the druid-raven from Howling Fjord (only Lv7!) if you're daring enough to try and skirt the LvOMGWTF vrykul in the area. Re: New hunter
A mercenary? Is that just a super-awesome way of saying hiring a random high level person to get you somewhere? I don't know why, but that makes it sound so much cooler. >:3 I totally want to hire a merc.

Pretty much. Just wanted to cram "or pay someone if you don't have a friend available" into one word.Rhyela wrote:A mercenary? Re: New hunter
I got that one on a lowbie Horde hunter without too much hassle. I did die a couple times to mobs, one time due to me paying too much attention to that frost giant that wanders around and bumbling into a group of hostile mobs.Nachtwulf wrote:You can also grab the druid-raven from Howling Fjord (only Lv7!) if you're daring enough to try and skirt the LvOMGWTF vrykul in the area. Re: New hunter
I think taming a Mastiff would work out...
Would be as if it was your life-long companion and one day it proved to be really strong when *blah blah blah* attacked your farm, so you considered traveling the world with it. c: Its a good back story.
