Reflective Armor Plating

I did tame a direhorn a couple nights ago, but haven't had a chance to spend much time with her. I'm curious about their nifty ability.

Has anyone figured out how wide an area RAP covers? I'm curious as to whether it's more a cone or hemisphere in front of the dino. I'm also guessing it really only reflects spells cast at the direhorn itself, so it's not like a group could get behind it for protection.

It's a sad ability really. Anybody who can find a utility for it gets a cookie, so its not like nobodies TRYING to find a gold nugget in that turd pie.
