Terrorpene's visual range

Hello there!

Just started camping Terrorpene and I had a question I couldn't answer through Google.

For everyone that got him before me: how big is his view distance? By that I mean, I far can you see him? For example the Time-Lost Proto Drake, Putridus and Galleon all have a HUGE visual range (meaning you can see them before you can see a player).
Do I need to fly around a lot or will I see him spawn at the other end of his path?

I'm currently sitting pretty much in the middle of the northern end of his path and i'ts making me a bit anxious about the southern spot.

I haven't camped him for a very long time, but if I recall correctly you do have to be somewhat close. He has a fairly wide patrol area, and if you're flying especially he can take a moment to load. I'm certain you won't be able to see him on one end if you're sitting at the other though, he's not that large.

I'm kinda pissed right now. I might've lost the turtle because of some range issue either that or this orc is just being a buttface.
I'm currently nearing hour 15. I just saw an orc on a black drake going around the throne so I follow him just in case he sees it. I go back to "my rock" (where I sit patiently waiting for the wonderful song of NPC_scan's people) and see the orc just looking around. I decide to make another lap around the throne, y'know, 'cuz i'm bored. and BAM npc scan goes off to a terrorpene named Krushinator from same orc.
He starts flying around me waving and pointing at his turtle. I just don't know if he's just being a dick and set off my npc_scan on purpose or if he really got it a couple second before I passed by him.

The little voice in my head is telling me that I did miss the spawn but my common sens is pretty sure you can't find a name for a pet THAT fast after taming (I did tail the guy pretty close).

What do you guys think? Should I take a 6 hours break or should I keep going because this orc is obviously a griefer?

You see me sitting on "my rock". What I circled in green was where I saw the orc when I came a bit closer. If Terrorpene would've spawned around that part, you think I would've seen it where I'm standing?

EDIT 2: HAHAHAHA, got my answer pretty damn fast. Terrorpene spawned at 12:25pm realm time (CRZ whirlwind battlegroup) juste a couple minutes after posting this. I'm still shaking!
I'm going to name him Nerodon after my boyfriend's nickname because we have a weird inside where lava means love. haha
