Kurken No longer Tameable?

Unread post by leaponover »

Well, my raid team wants me to roll with a core hound for Ancient Hysteria since we haven't had anyone with Lust/Timewarp Etc. The red in no way comes close to matching my transmog so I figured I would look on handy dandy wow-petopia to find different models. So Kurken comes closest to matching. Seems taming him is a pain though since it's alliance territory and i'm "For the Horde".

I checked out the wowhead link and there is a recent comment (yesterday) stating that this beast is no longer tameable. Can any alliance go check that out and confirm. If that's the case it would just go along great with the shitty timing i've had with this game from day one. I'm going to be annoyed if it is no longer tameable :-( Maybe even more annoyed than my 1 millionth run with my mage trying to get a sha touched weapon that ain't worth a solar powered flashlight anymore anyway :-(

It's very likely they weren't in the BM spec. You need to be a BM hunter in order to have the ability to tame corehounds and all that jazz.

Yeah, i'm aware of that and good point. His post said they are marked now as not tameable though. I've been BM so long I forget what kind of message you get when you aren't in BM spec looking at an exotic beast.

Anyway, if anybody could confirm i'm at work and can't. I will have an hour window to go do this once I get home before I'm off to another class to teach so I want to try to get it done today. Ugh, so many things to do so little time .... :x

Azu's right; the poster likely didn't check to make sure they were in the right spec before posting. Regardless of the poster's phrasing, his/her information might still be inaccurate. After all, if the player was careless enough to post on Wowhead without checking their own spec, then it stands to reason that they didn't post the exact wording of the failure message either.

Would be simple for an ally to run over there and check though...pretty please :-)
