25 man raiding

I'm just curios, if anyone has done or know anyone that has done Throne of Thunder on 25 man ? All the top guilds on my server are doing 10 man heroic and no mention of 25 man. I know the gear is the same for 10 man, so I would assume the mechanics should be pretty much the same as 10 man ? I watched a tank spot video on the first boss, and it doesn't really look much different then LFR.

The reason I'm asking, is because my GM wants to form a 25 man raid group and do Throne of Thunder on 25 man normal.
I believe if you can believe out of nothing an explosion (big bang) happened then how far fetched can god be?

I sometimes run with a 25m raid group on Thursdays when they need to fill open spots. 25m is the same as 10man just increased everything because of the increase in people. There is also more room for error. They downed Megera with half the raid dead, but if half of my raid died in 10man we'd be screwed.

Same mechanics as 10m there are just a couple different ways to deal with them that might not work on 10m lol

25 man is dieing sadly, if you have 24 people, its easier to go down to 10 and if you have 9 people its easier to get 1 instead of 16

Yeah I have my doubts as well about being able to not form a 25 man group, but to keep the attendance high.

Pretty much this. The mechanics are the same but due to the difference in number of people what might work well in 10 might not work on 25 as well, and vice versa. Some fights are harder with 25 people due to the fact that the rooms aren't any bigger, but some are easier because you have more margin for error if a few people die.

If most of your raid group already knows the fights on 10 there shouldn't be much difficulty in ramping up to a 25. Attendance would be the bigger problem.

I found out as well, they plan to use the EPGP loot roll system. Not sure I like that system at all.

Yeah having loot systems might not work since it is hard to get a full 25m lol. The 25m that I run with is technically 11 people from their guild and the rest pugs and their 1 loot per raid rule gets them trouble. EPGP would be bad for pugs likely lol.

EPGP with or without pugs? With pugs you'd generally do a partial roll system, like have everyone who wants a piece of loot roll, if it's a pug that wins the item goes to them and if not, it then goes to guild EPGP to distribute. Or you roll if the item goes to a pug or a guild player, and then roll or EPGP it out after that.

If it's a straight up all guild run, then EPGP isn't a bad system. There's no perfect loot system of course. But you need something in place in a 25 group to sort out loot or you will run into problems very very quickly.
