Question about BM spec and exotic pets...

Unread post by meronym »

Hi! I'm a new hunter and have what might be a silly question, but I don't know where to find the answer. I have just started collecting some of the rare and exotic pets and was suddenly seized with a paranoid and probably irrational thought. If I switch specs, the pets stay in my stable, right? What if I have any of them in the active slots? Will they be auto-stabled or will I just not be able to use them when I switch specs? Or do you just have to be BM to actually tame them, and can you use them in other specs? My worst fear is that I could lose them for good, but even Blizzard isn't that cruel, right? I've never played a hunter before, and I'm currently not in any guild where I can ask, so I thought I would come here. Thanks!

Don't worry, you don't lose any pets while you switch specs. :) Exotic pets will stay in your stable, and ones in your active pets remain in their slots but you will not be able to call them out. You can't use them unless your hunter is in their BM spec at the time.

Thanks! I figured it would only be a matter of not being able to use them, but once the thought was there, I couldn't shake it. :)

Hey no worries, I think it's a valid concern from someone who's unfamiliar with the class, totally understandable!
