has anyone noticed VEB pets?

hello all, i am just wondering if anyone else has noticed that when you go for a croc or a pork in VEB that they dont get the gold flash on tame, and take a good 3 -5 seconds to fade to a regular color? I had the same effect on one of the owls in jade forrest that look like a shadow priest, as in no gold flash, lost priest look on tame but stayed ghosty for 5-10 seconds then faded to a grey owl? any ideas? bug? a bug we could used like our other appearacne pets?
thoughts?
suggestions?
our experimenters that have people that help them in fun times like this?
or am i dreaming again?

Anywho, I have no idea what you mean by VEB. The valley, maybe? IDK.
I do know, however, that there are some animals with MoP that have been very slightly shaded with a 'buff'. The buff doesn't show up though as a buff, which is strange. There are some hawks near the stormstout place that look slightly darker, but when tamed they go back to their normal brown hawk color.

In the past, there was a way to tame pets with 'buffs'. Those hawks and the owls being a few of many that people tamed for the buff. A few lose their effect when they die though, so they are VERY fragile pets and not to be used for anything but showing off. Stampede will also make it vanish.
The taming with buffs has been fixed (again) though because people were starting to take Deth'tilac with his 1 hit kill buff. People who did manage to tame the not so deadly buff pets got to keep them.

So far, there is no other way to tame those buff pets, so yeah o.o;

I coulda sword I had him out, and I'm sure I must have used it with him out...
But if not.. You may have just saved my oil wolf's oily life.

I'm not sure with oil wolf. I haven't dared try with mine.
I know it drops for Sha Tiger and the other super fragile ones though. Oil wolf I think stays after death, so he must be safe.

my timing sucks, but heres an idea...
how about a reverse kill upon tame but its the hunter who dies either by said mob or in a pvp situation via opposite faction?
i know of the other tame methods were fixed and of the fragile pets cause i have most of em ... and wish i had gotten the owl from jade forrest but had no stable room at the time =(

Yikes, thanks for the warning, my Oil Stained wolf on my draenei is an extremely important piece to her entire set up as a character (engineer and consortium bounty hunter ^___^ just missing boots for her mog! Sadly she's using several pieces to a set that's BoE drops aaaaand is on a RP server so its gonna cost her a fortune and a half, and a lot of time >___>)

Well i have the oil-stained wolf and i even raid with him. I never got problems with stampede or him dying. He still got his nice looking oil fur.
