Something to do while leveling
Now I usually get bored whilst leveling, so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as something I can do to make it different. Ideas such as new pet every level or every zone etc.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Something to do while leveling
Personally I just took a break from WoW when I got bored of leveling, maybe did some pet battles and stuff.

Get 2 screens and watch a movie on one and play WoW on the other. Makes the time pass so fast and grinding so not boring.

I usually get bored after level 70. I did at least two MoP levels with Pet Battles. There's that area in Kun-Lai Summit, near the Shado-Pan Monastery, where you will find lots of goats (and the elite one) that respawn really quickly. So you can do pet battles non-stop and earn 190k XP average on every victory. That's more or less like a quest.

Maybe play a good podcats in the background? I often listen to the rooster teeth podcast as I play my games. Also if you don't already do this, it can be a lot of fun solo rollplaying the zone. Even if you have quested there a dozen times before, just playing by character knowledge instead of player knowledge and building a story around how your character reacts and explores each zone can be tons of fun. What's the characters background? Personality? Does this character know any of your other toons? And if so are they on good terms with one another? Are the heirlooms received in the mail sent to them by old friends and mates, or some mysterious sage they know nothing about? are they helping this farmer for the money or the adventure? Play some songs from two steps from hell in the background and you are good to go.

Thats actually a really awesome idea! I like to adopt NPC's like for example at the Tillers area theres a little panda kid that makes fun of Fish Felreed. So I slap him and ask Fish to be my friend and hang out on my farm. She is my fav pandaria NPC because of that snotty nosed brat!SylviaDragon wrote:Maybe play a good podcats in the background? I'm glad someone likes the idea and may try it out. ^.^ I know what you mean too. from time to time I get kind of attached to random npcs as well. (don't even get me started on my main and the baby raptor from ZG or the oracle hatchling from children's week!) The sleeping drunk in front of the Silvermoon inn caught my eye once when I first made my troll shammy and I ended up coming up with an entire storyline for him one a boring afternoon. Ended up making a pally after him. He became a homeless pally kicked from the order, fleeing from the law after being framed for the death of his teacher. Naturally my troll took pity on him and helped him get back on his feet and escape to Outlands. That escalated quickly xD but it was fun.

Re: Something to do while leveling
One character that I leveled while I was having an extended illness I did with 'one pet every five levels', and worked my way down as the levels got longer to get to. I should get back to her and finish up her last four levels one of these times.
The one I'm doing now, I'm leveling a hunter for leveling a guild up (because hunters solo so well). My limitation there is that I can *only* have pets from the zone I'm questing in. Once I leave a zone (unless it's just to travel through it, or something) I have to dump all the pets I tamed from the previous zone and tame something new, or go petless. It's really made me think hard on the *actual* value of pet abilities for a hunter when it's a zone with a very, very limited selection.
I haven't yet hit Icecrown and Storm Peaks with him. That should be fun.
... for selected uses of the word 'fun'.
