The Ghost Saber

While questing through Darkshore on my 85 Worgen hunter, my main alt, I remembered long ago when he was a cub he had the ghost saber but at the time was building his stable. Now his stable is coming along nicely I went looking for it again though took some time to find the statues when I did find them only took one for me to once again be the proud owner of this beautiful cat. How many also know about this pet and how many here have one though it isn't a spirit beast yet should be it is still a pet worth keeping.

Myri has had her Ghost Saber since she was level 19 (about a month or two after BC was released). She still has him and I would NEVER release him. She's had him longer than any pet. And back then, you could only have 3 pets in your stable. So yeah. After all the work I went through getting him, he's never ever ever getting released.

Its kind of a rule that all my hunters make the trip to darkshore to obtain this lovely cat. its a very rare sight- now more than ever. (probably due to the little-know summoning method and it not being a true "rare") my hunter has two pets she can never abandon. Phobos, a moonstalker runt and my first ever pet- and Aris, my second tame ever and a ghost saber who killed me right as I finished the tame. (although Aris often takes up the name Deimos to complement my phobos duplicates on alts. )

I love my ghost saber, Aiyana (which means "eternal flower" supposedly). She's not my original ghost saber, but I think she's there in spirit (bad pun ). She walks with my Tauren now, who has almost all the ghost pet available in game, excepting some spirit beasts.

I had never gotten one but I went over to the ruins last night and got it on my 13th figurine. His name is Casper. I also found and tamed Shadowclaw. I now have 41 pets.

I had a guildie who traveled with her lowbie allience hunter all the way to the eaves of Silvermoon to get a red lynx there, so as a personal tribute, I brought my blood elf hunter to Darkshore to get Ghost Saber.

My Undead Hunter has Shadowclaw as his main pet but not the ghost saber. He also has a diseased hawk called Psittacosis.

Tahl has his ghost saber...he named her Leota after the fortune telling spirit in Disney World's Haunted Mansion.
