I decided to create this forum just for informational / list-type threads from Pet Discussion. This is because the list of stickied threads in the pet discussion forum was getting very long, and moving them here is easier than maintaining an index thread for them all.

Please let me know if there are any others you think belong here. Thanks

This is a great idea, sometimes I did get lost looking for something I knew I'd read, but was not sure if it was in pets/general/ warlords, etc. I'd try searching keys words all sorts!!

While it's true that the Pets by Color thread is listed in the pet resources post, I do think it's a perfect fit to be moved here to this new forum.

Anything that is a hunter pet related resource/informative listing?
I guess still a safe bet to assume that Dps guides, hunter tips and tricks, mount farming guides, etc would remain in their prospective forums.
The only one mildly off forum topic would be the dire beast list, but I think it still fits here perfectly fine due to its content.
If unsure and you think of something that you think would fit, maybe just ask, no harm in that

Is there a list of words that are restricted as name or parts of names for pets and minipets? There's a thread where someone stopped being able to use Guardor as a pet name (presumably because it starts with "Guard"), and I noticed I can't name a minipet anything that begins with "Jade ".

There's a thread here that listed restricted names for Hunter pets, they may be the same for minipets. I don't think it's been updated lately, but there's still a decent sized list:
