Spoilers: Korean WoD Footage (small update)

Unread post by Arwyn »

Small update: MMO-Champion.com has the links listed on their site along with another link from the French website Mamytwink.com that has pictures from the European Press Release. Looking forward to when, and if, there is a North American press release that will hopefully show more footage.

There are two reasons I placed it with the spoiler tag:

First, the links showing game footage originally came from the regular WoW forum: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic ... 734?page=1. And though it says its Beta footage from Korea, shifting through the comments section on the first link says that the footage came from a Korean Press Event so hopefully they want be taken down if it was from a Press Event. The links:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ha6O_e-zCUw

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hn1OeGG9idI

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCj_gFWAtZQ

Second reason:

Let that really be a new worg model!!

Image

But if anything is wrong, will a helpful mod please fix it. Thank You in Advance.

Must be oldish? The female Orc and Dwarfs and not the ones that they just released information about.
And as much as there seemed to be quite a few options available for the male Orc, the faces didn't really seem to change that much at all? (And I think that was them WITH the different face options).
I have a baaaaad feeling that the facial options for all races are going to be similar to Pandarian, same same but different, but same same.
Again, just have to wait and see I guess.

Oh neat!

Man, I really love how the female orcs look, even just from the brief glimpse we had at the beginning of the video. The female dwarves are a bit worrying though, I saw a couple other variations as that person was clicking through and...hrm. I don't know why but they just aren't striking me as "right" the way the other revamps have so far. The male orcs look awesome though!

Those new wolf models look really nice and fluffy....I just wish they'd do away with that particular skeleton already! Or fix the run animation. Argh, it's been a pet peeve of mine since Vanilla and they keep choosing to use it for every wolf. :(

Looks like there's a new clefthoof model, I really hope they might become tameable, seem like perfect candidates for a native beast.

Also, wee, saw nether rays in the last video. :)

Aww, the wolves, the wolves~!! <3

Shame they still use the worg limp-leg run, though. I hoped they would be on the small wolf "flowing" run animation. But /sigh, you can't have it all, I guess.

For something called a "wooly clefthoof" it's not very wooly :/ When you think about it the old model has more fluff on it XD

Loving those new wolves!!! Nether rays don't seem to have changed at all. They look like they old models to me? Can't wait to see the new sporebats.

As for the faces...I find myself worried now too. However, the face on the orc warlock was differnent than the one they've shown off on the Warlords site. So here's to hoping?

I have to agree, I love the female orcs. But the female dwarf...I don't know. I really hope she has different facial options. :( Because right now she's just not clicking for me.

Oh, no they weren't different at all, I just remember some people wondering if we'd see Nether Rays in Draenor or not. :) I was happy to see them again.

I saw on WoW Insider there was a 'nether ray style mob', so when I watched the videos I was expecting a newer model, not the same. Hence my comment. I'm thrilled to see them on Draenor either way. :)

Oh! Qraljar linked to http://ruliweb.daum.net/news/view/59325.daum on the pets thread to show off the boar images, but for people interested, there are a lot of pictures there and they show two different dwarf faces. One looks a lot older than the the other (could be the hair placement, but I'm thinking it's different facial structures).

The site also shows some different expressions on some of the new models too.

Because people are getting worried about the facial variety. It isn't perfect, yet, and Blizzard will likely fix it (maybe the textures will be accompanied by actual modeled 3D modifications to the main face later on), but this does show that there are differences between the faces:

Oh, love that comparison. The differences are slight right now, but it shows there are some differences stil. Between that and:

I think they are trying. The hunter and the death knight look 'fairly' similar, but even still, the warlock (to me) looks very different. The skin tones, the expressions when animated, the eye color...lends well to individuality.

Yeah I noticed too. Interesting.

As for the rest, I like it so far. But I agree that the female dwarf model does look a little off.
But overall I like how things look. I'm not that fond of the way the male orc moves his arms when he runs, but maybe once I try it, it won't be that bad. :P
