Skarr Tame: did they nerf this?

Now that Molten Front is so old I camped Skarr with my second hunter (L86 with 385 gear) and naturally I messed up my first attempt which put Core Hound "Ancient Hysteria" on cooldown. So 2nd try I switched straight to Marks, popped Potion of Speed, Tame Beast, Silencing Shot (BEFORE the Fieroclast Barrage finished casting), Deterrence, Tame Beast, and I actually survived the tame at half health.

The first time I tamed Skarr (on my main) I had no idea what I was doing and wouldn't have survived except a druid came by and tossed heals at me--but I have this impression that it was still a very close thing even with the heals, which is why I'm wondering if Blizz could have nerfed Skarr a bit???

Probably not. But Pandaria gear is far better than even Cata raid gear, so chances are you were just able to weather the tame better.

I got Ban'thalos a little while ago and survived him hitting me twice. Couldn'tve done that in Cata, for sure.

Basically what Nacht said. If you did it in pandaria gear, it's gonna be a whole lot easier.
