Hyena mount

So, this year 1st place Blizzard Student Art Contest Winner is this baby:

...which made me really happy. I've wished for a hyena mount for a while now, and this one is just perfect!

Do you think it will make it in-game? The DMF carousel did, and this mount will blend in just as nicely, I think...

It looks nice. I really wish the head would hang lower like it does in that concept though.

I really liked it too

It made me wonder if it was from someone here, seeing I know it's the kind of thing some people had discussed in the past

that looks AMAZING! its got a skull helm and everything! I just- I cant even!
I think this probably answers the question of if/when we will be getting new hyena models.

Damn that's one sweet looking mount. I can just imagine raiders running down caravans and travelers on isolated roads with something like that. imagine one of those things circling you when you're caught all alone. *runs off to find a fainting couch* I'm so giddy now.

I really hope this makes it in as a faction mount or something.

I wonder if they have any intention of using student artwork in the future.

But I really wish we'd gotten those otter men instead of jinyu in MoP... So gorgeous.

Totally agree, though it could be done via animation and the likes, some basic poses of models do look like they have a carrot up their .......

As much as it is very beautiful and very well done, I'm not 100% sold on the metal ankle armour (yes yes, I know, call me picky). But then again, with animation and a proper "stance" it could also dissolve my niggling issue with it

Agreed! I do think it's just a convenient pose though, most often they have models set in a very rigid posture before adding animations, so I'm sure it would look better in motion.

Ahhhh I'm really excited, do we know if this is something that's definitely being added into the game, or is it just speculation?

I reckon it would make a good DMF reward since its purple and really different. We havent had a new mount from them for abit...

My guess is speculation atm, but it has arisen due to the DMF carousel design that was submitted on a previous contest, and then we ended up with a DMF carousels not too far down the track. I don’t think this means that any of these amazing submission are a given, but it certainly leads one to have hope

I think the skull helm looks really terrible and kind of ruins the rest of the mount :s
