Country restrictions are not normally Blizzard's choice - I mean it only makes things more complicated for them! - but usually down to national laws about games and prizes, etc.

Can't you just fudge your address to some other country (family in a different country?) until the RaF is over?

The other thing to consider is as Spiritbinder reminded me: "friends" could also imply a new guild reward, which would be nice for morale after all this time. Or they could even be reviving the scroll of resurrection. So there are more possible interpretations as to its source.

As far as I know, it's the same with Denmark. But we can still do it.

There are ways to do so, as people are selling the extra RAF playtime through Allegro, but it's gray at best, and every so often Blizz checks things out and deletes playtime acquired this way and tosses a few bans here and there.
There's some people here who have registered their accounts as GB for example, but if you registered as PL (like me, why'd I have thought it'd be better to fake a country when I was just a wide-eyed noob?) you now need a scan of some document to change the country. Some say you can photoshop a fake electricity invoice or something and it's enough, but I don't want to take part in it. I'll just wait. One day, maybe, we'll stop being a third-world country. Maybe.

Only thing is....they said in one of their blue posts they're not doing anything with guilds atm.
