Question to BETA testers on wolf/elek mounts

Has anyone gotten to the point that we have figured out what these are and who can and can't get them?

As far as I know, no mounts are available yet. There aren't even mount spells for many things in the database yet, just the models.

Whatever they do, I hope the wolf mounts run will be the same as the wolf run, not the worgs run. As the wolves on Draenor are basically in-evolved worgs (at least how I see it) I don't think they should have that silly run they have. The worgs didn't get that until much later, so why would the wolf change it's run because it's got a rider on it's back? The wolf run makes the mount look much better, and I've see a model of the wolf mount with the normal run. It was, if I'm not mistaken, an armoured wolf with chainsaws and stuff (better watch how far you lean forward) that is mob or two uses at the start of the stuff leading to Draenor. Those models are too good to be wasted on a worg skeleton.

Nope. I think horde and alliance should get a cool wolf looking mount without having to be some kind of raider to go get one. I hope the alliance get one. You cod have a worgen with a wolf mount, wolf pet, wolf mini pet and say that they're all related

It'd be nice for Horde to get an Elekk. I'd like for both factions should have at least a low chance of getting one of each type of the other faction's mounts. Most are covered now (raptors maybe too much! ) but elekks are one of the few that aren't and this expansion is the perfect timing.

Exactly! I wouldn't mind riding around on an Elekk myself (autocorrect doesn't seem to like the word Elekk). I
You'd still have the problem of doors, but who needs door anyway? Just burst right in through! If your e in your Garrison, even better. Show them you run the place!

In addition to cross-faction wolves and elekk, Alliance could stand to get goblin go-karts. As a trade-off, horde should also be able to get a mount with no saddle but is otherwise indistinguishable from a mount they already have. ;P

Or I guess a mechanostrider.

But we might be getting ahead of ourselves. Is there signs that there will be an elekk mount available to players (not the iron horde mounts, I'm too skeptical to take those as a sign)? The WoD elekk are the first ones I'd not be embarrassed to ride (other than the paladin mount, it's better than the rest).

Well, there are many NPCs riding around on the elekks. But of course that doesn't guarantee we'll get it. Still, I think that there's really no good reason for players to not get elekk mounts, even if Alliance are the only ones who have access to them.
