Unable to open the beta

has this happened before? i haven't changed anything on my computer, no restarts, nothing but when i try to open the beta it now says "The CAS system was unable to initialize" and then it crashes. is there something I'm missing?

I had this happen to me too with the patch before this one. From what I've read you can bypass that by manually starting the beta using one of the .exe files in the folder.

WowB.exe or WowB-64.exe depending on if you run 64-bit or not. If not try the others.

WowT.exe or WowT-64.exe

WowTR.exe or WowTR-64.exe

I managed to make it work using one of those instead of the launcher itself.

do you know how to get around it with a mac by chance?

Maybe try opening "World of Warcraft Beta.app" instead of through the launcher.

Otherwise, perhaps try deleting your cache and/or temporarily renaming your WTF folder and see if either fixes it.

i tried that, i just reinstalled and it seems to work fine now. thank you for the tips
