So, my last stable slot has been an unstable one- no pun intended
I've swapped out pets quite a bit- I once had 3 Loques, one left when Gondria released, the other was a Worgen when tamable. When Skoll released, I got him. Due to Spirit Beasts and Gezzerak, I was pretty tight on stable slots (aren't we all hehe). Somewhere down the line, I decided I would release my wolf (that I could never make up my mind which skin I wanted), and get Arcturis. I camped him and got him, leveled him up to 80, and took him to ICC.
I'm not actually sure when or how it happened, but I got antsy and bored and wanted to tame a new pet. My Spirit bear was the 'weakest link' so to speak, as I guess I didn't bond with him like my other pets, possibly due to a few different reasons, but regardless, with a heavy heart, I let him roam the wilds of Sholazar when I happened across Aotona. I had lightly been camping Krush, but Aotona spawned instead, so in a panic of only seeing the bird once prior, my other half agreed I should tame it, so I did. I let a rare go for a rare. The bird was beautiful and I was shaking during and after the tame, but I didn't get giddy like I normally would. One of my guildies was searching for the bird a few days prior to this, his pc crashed as he was about to tame it, but he was in an instance on an alt when I found it. I promised I would keep an eye out for it for him. I took the bird to my favorite pet leveling spot, and started grinding. I really wasn't feeling it and realized it had to be due to my having my heart set on Krush. I decided I would re-tame both Arcturis and Aotona when we get the expanded stable slots, as I love them both and would use them, but being limited in the pets I can have currently, they just weren't the pets I wanted to own right now.
I went to Ungoro to try to practice on King Mosh, but like usual, when you want to find a mob, they aren't around. I roamed around a bit until I found an Ironhide, my fav Devilsaur behind Krush, and bit my Aotona farewell for the time being. Leveled him up and brought him to the raid that night- and did great He was a fun change to my Spirit Beast companions, so I felt like I made the right choice, but it made me want to find Krush more. I still wasn't camping hardcore, I still would do dailies and run stuff, but when I would get bored, I would park at my camp spot, kill mammoths, or just nap while hovering in the air on my drake.
Finally I got bored enough with camping that I went to level my Shaman in the basin, figuring I could swap over if I saw him, or at least know of a spawn time to go off of if another rare popped. Well after doing a bit of quests, I decided to do a routine flyby... got to glimmering piller and what happens? NPCScan screams at me that Krush was up! Sure enough, I see his green figure in the distance, and squealed loudly. I logged out as quick as I could, shaking to a point of almost inability to function, hopped on my hunter, and my boyfriend got on his priest and met me at the basin. Tame after tame failed, until the poor majestic beast fell. In my panic and haste, he and wasps kept aggroing everyone around, not allowing him to reset, refilling his hp. Each distracting shot, scorpid sting, and whatever anyone else accidentally hit him with whittled away at his health. I was crestfallen. A Draenei huntress was watching the ordeal and comforted me after the dino fell. I thank her for her kindness.
So here I am in Org, getting haste potions, and pondering regemming my old T9 gear haste/stam and seeing how my health and haste is, reading posts here; boyfriend glyphed his fear ward to make it better. Hope to be better prepared next time we meet. /sigh
Sucks when tame fails at 2 seconds left! (good thing was the guildie that had his pc crash came to help with the wasps, and after krush dies, he started camping for his bird, which spawned an hour later. At least one good thing came out of this!)

I've seen Krush once fully alive... sadly he was near the NW camp and I wasnt on my hunter... So I had to kill him -.- But I did really want him back then
Definitely keep it up! If helpful, I'll gladly share what I did for my own Krush tame. Required no new gear / regemming / enchanting.. Just required a few materials and 2 temp/new trinkets to counter the haste/health needs.
But we're all cheering for you when you go back for him! Good luck to you :}
I foraged my bank and grabbed my old gloves, helm, and pvp pants, gemmed them with Forceful Eye of Zul (4 total). Stam from pvp pants, and the haste from the two other pieces, plus gems and enchants, should pop my tame time down a nice chunk, while boosting my hp up to the amount to where I can outlast his bites. One tame ended because he feared at 2 secs left, two others or so because he killed me 2 secs before tame ended. This should help close that gap, and the fear ward glyph my bf got should solidify it. Now to hope he spawns in a few hours and not Loque lol.
Thanks for all your support guys! It means a lot to me <3
Did someone actually interfere and kill him or was it accidental during the tame?
I VERY nearly accidentally killed him myself during my tame, I was horrified, I can't imagine what it must have been like to actually do it if that's what happened

Also, F*** THOSE WASPS!
I don't know if my guildie accidentally shot him a few times, or if it was just from me re-tagging to get aggro off of them back to me, but when I realized we killed him, it (no pun intended) crushed me :'(
I'm sure it was my fault because my first Loque tame, I almost killed him trying to get aggro off the warrior guildie who pulled him out of main view. That was only because I forgot about distracting shot and was plugging arrows into him, this time I used distracting and scorpid, but I probably overdid it in my frenzy.
So I got my King! Happy wall of text incoming lol... and pics!
We got an early start today- sun was shining, was nice and warm, I took my laptop outside into the Florida room and made myself comfortable. We roughly tried to make an estimate on when the next rare spawn would be from my failed tame yesterday. I did a few rounds, then went on a mission for more haste and stamina. This required alt hopping, and gathering mats and stuff from all over lol. I got a nice outfit set up by adding more PvP gear for the stam, and making bracers from a ToC pattern that had haste, gemming for haste and chanting the PvP cloak with haste, throwing Tuskaar's Vitality on my PvP boots and gemming them stamina. Used my dusty Badges of Justice for the battlemaster trink with haste, made some LW drums, and created the macros I needed. Tamed Shango for a temp pet and parked myself at Glimmering Pillar. Around an hour or so before our estimated spawn time, I ran into Loque at the Skyreach Pillar- the original place I found Krush at. This was the first time I was disappointed to see the handsome Leopard.
Although rule of thumb would be 6-8 hours after seeing him, I read accounts of 1 hour spawns, and this threw me for a loop, as I didn't want to miss a spawn, even if the occurrence of that happening was almost nil. I hopped on my Shaman again, and tried to level her some, but after a few quests at Nesingwary's, I went to lapping the basin again, and feeling uncomfortable, I swapped back to Sui. Keeping my haste food buff up, I camped my spawn point, occasionally doing rare scouting laps.
At the 4 hour mark I began to get antsy, as I knew the spawn should be appearing soon- and with all the questers/miners/herbalists passing by, my nerves became frazzled. My boyfriend was on his baby hunter, leveling, and I was doing more vigorous lapping. At hour 5- yes, 5, I went into the kitchen to put some snacks away, and to get myself a drink. On my way back to the room I hear the MSBT low health beep that I set to ESN_Rare, and my heart stopped. I knew that it could only be him, that the chance of someone with a rare-spawn pet landing in front of me was so unlikely, that I ran into the room. I could see the little box from NPCScan at the bottom of my screen and screamed as I hastily tossed my drink onto the end-table. I hadn't heard the drums of the addon from being in the other room, but the beep from ESN was much more audible. My boyfriend hurried to get out of combat and log onto his priest to get to me, and I tried to solo tame while he did so. It failed miserably- almost to the point of me having to rez the temp pet- a waste of precious time, but might have been ok, now that I think about it.
Here's what I did- Sent out the temp pet after buffing up. Waited for Krush to fear him. He didn't; instead, he aggro'ed onto me- oddly- with his lovely charge. Since I was now too close to him, me and the pet were feared, and he whittled away at the cat until my addon flashed 'low pet health' on my screen. I panicked, and hit my BW abandon macro, and started the tame. A third through, he feared me, not shockingly, and since my health was down, I had to feign. Scrambling to find a temp pet, in horror, I realized I was nowhere near any tamables- but wait! Faruun spawns right there, he's tamable right? Tossed down a trap, started tame. Invalid target? *insert expletive here*
I feigned again, and my priest appears in the distance, heals me up, fear wards me, I start tame, shaking. Oh, the tame bar goes down, down, down. I hear my bf say 'that rhino is coming!', as I see him approaching us. I was holding out, not wanting heals in case I lost aggro... 3 seconds left, rhino closer... 1 second... at the same time the rhino aggro'ed, Krush spins around and eats his face. I lept up screaming as my bf came into the room and I jumped on him, freaking out lol. I was in such awe and we were so excited, that that damn rhino spawned 5 or 6 more times and Krush beat him up each time, until we finally went about our ways. He's so handsome, and I adore him. All the prepping was worth it. He truly is a sight to see. It's a totally different rush taming something that requires more effort than a simple freezing trap and a tame. I got to experience it with Gezzerak, and now Krush- I wish my hunter was leveled enough when the Spirit Guide was tamable, but can't win 'em all
Here is a list of my 'taming gear' that I used, for those wondering-
Furious Gladiator's Chain Leggings (55 stam/22 agil kit, 10 haste/15 stam gems x2)
Windrunner's Handguards of Triumph (20 agil chant, 10 haste/15 stam gem)
Coif of the Brooding Dragon (37 stam/20 defense chant, our normal meta, 10 haste/15 stam gem)
Battlemaster's Alacrity
Black Chitin Bracers (102 stam LW chant, 20 haste gem)
Relentless Gladiator's Cloak of Victory (23 haste chant)
Furious Gladiator's Sabatons of Triumph (15 stam/speed increase chant, 30 stam gem)
Furious Gladiator's Pendant of Triumph
The rest was my normal raid gear, the haste on most weapons I found wouldn't net me the stamina that Quel'Delar has, and Zod's has the nice stam on it as well. I made due with the other gear and after buffed, I was almost at 30k hp, and still ended the tame almost dead. The haste brought my tame down to 15 seconds.
Buffs used were Elixir of Lightning Speed (45 haste), Very Burnt Worg (40 haste/40 stam), Potion of Speed (500 haste for 15 secs), Drums of Forgotten Kings (8% to stats), Drums of the Wild (attributes by 37, resistances by 54, the armor effect is worthless) , and Fortification (214 stam) from my bf.
Pics!
/hugs to all of you for your kind words- and I wish those still waiting for their companion to join them, no matter who it may be, the best of luck! Don't give up
